"You can rest easy now, Mrs. Selwyn."

Courtney tried to give her money and make her leave Zachary. Patricia didn't take it, but she did as she

was told. However, her refusal to take the check worried Courtney. She kept thinking Patricia would

come back for her son. Now that she saw me and Elizabeth together, she can rest easy.

Courtney nodded. "Of course."

Patricia nodded and went to the entrance. When she was going past the black rose area, she saw a girl

in a red dress smiling sweetly among the sea of roses. The girl was telling the servants how to flower

the roses. "Be careful. Don't touch the petals."

The girl was holding a black rose and brought it up to her nose to take a whiff. Her eyes narrowed, and

she muttered to herself, "This is nice."

Patricia gave her a nod when she went by the girl.

Suddenly, the girl said, "MissAniston, a moment."

Patricia stopped in her tracks. "What would you need, miss?"

Rose wagged the rose she was holding. "I'm Rose Ortega, the third young lady of this family."

Oh. "Hello, Ms. Ortega."

Ortega? This is the Ortega household? There's only one Ortega Family in this city, so this girl must be

Nikola's sister. She knew Nikola, so Patricia extended that friendship to his sister.

Rose tilted her head to the side. "You're Isaac's girlfriend?"

There was a hint of enmity in her eyes which didn't escape Patricia. But the lie has been told, and I

The look on Rose's face changed. "Do you know what his favorite flower is, then?"

Patricia had known Isaac for a few months, but she had no idea about his preferences aside from his

favorite food and coffee. She shook her head. He's a guy. Do guys like flowers?

Rose swayed her rose again, and a peal of silvery laughter escaped her lips. "So you don't know. He's

not serious about you either." Happily, she turned around and ordered the servants to water the flowers

and pull out the weeds.

"Did you see the lady Old Mrs. Arnold brought with her? She's gorgeous. I heard she's Isaac's

girlfriend."

"Ms. Rose must be upset."

"She has had a crush on him since they were little, and her grandmother wanted her to marry Isaac as

well. I thought Old Mrs. Arnold was her grandmother's good friend. Why didn't she help Ms. Rose out?"

"Ah, calm down. Ms. Rose is the perfect match for someone like Isaac. He can have as many

girlfriends as he wants, but Ms. Rose will be the one marrying him in the end."
