Maia then beckoned for the manager to follow her out of the department.
“Paige, you said just now that you didn’t think my mom was suffering from depression, right?” Maia
asked.
Surprised, Paige nodded readily. “Yeah, I’ve worked here for a decade, and when Rosa was the
chairwoman, she often took me to the headquarters in Solisar. She was devoted to the company and
had experienced the lows of Starlight before bringing it to new heights.
“Besides, she had no symptoms, and I had never seen her take any medication.”

After a while, her phone rang. The caller ID showed that it was Hope. Puzzled, Maia frowned and
