“Buck, what should we do now? Why did they kidnap Maia? What do they want?” Hope asked as her voice trembled with fear.
Buck assured her. “Don’t worry. He can save Ms. Maia.”
Hope widened her eyes in confusion. She did not understand who Buck was referring to. Buck turned back and gave the place
one last look before leaving the Cloud Nine Residence with Hope toward Prismara Hill.
Since it was late, Prismara Hill was awfully quiet. When Buck pulled up in his car near the gates, a security guard approached
them and asked, “Hello, how can I help you?”
“I’m Ms. Maia’s PA from Starlight Entertainment. I didn’t schedule an appointment
beforehand, but I’m looking for Mr. Cedric about something urgent.” Buck finished in a hurry and gave his name card to the
guard.
After verifying his identity, the guard opened the gates and allowed them access. The guard brought them all the way to the main
house and informed Cedric.
“Mr. Cedric, Ms. Maia’s PA is here to see you,” Oswald said.
“Let him in.” Cedric had an uneasy feeling about Maia’s assistant showing up so late in the night.
Moments later, the doors to the study flew open as Buck came running in. “Mr. Cedric, Ms. Maia is in trouble!”
Cedric’s pen snapped as he heard the panic in Buck’s voice. Oswald, who was standing next to him, was shocked as well.
“What’s wrong?” Cedric asked. Even though his tone betrayed no emotions, his eyes were filled with concern and worry..
Buck wasted no time as he informed Cedric about everything that had happened.
“Mr. Cedric, you need to save my sister. When we got home, there was blood on the living room floor. I’m not sure if it belongs to
Maia, but there might be a chance that she’s hurt!” Hope elaborated, trying to stay as calm as possible.

help us!” Hope pleaded earnestly.
“Don’t worry. She’s my life. I’ll never let anything happen to her!” Cedric promised.

something like this. To make matters worse, the victim was her dearest sister.
Buck extended his arms to support Hope when he noticed that her knees were about to give way from the fear. He turned back
to Cedric’s retreating back and offered, “Mr. Cedric, is there anything I can do?”
“Take good care of my sister–in–law.”
Buck stood on the spot in surprise before he immediately nodded. He knew very well that if they had Cedric on their side, Maia
would be safe. After all, he was the most powerful man in
Prismara!
Meanwhile, Baz came back with the surveillance footage from Cloud Nine Residences. The perpetrator had openly driven Maia’s
car away from the building
“Who is he? He looks familiar!” Baz asked as he kept playing the footage over to take a closer look at who had kidnapped Maia

“Track him down and kill him.” Cedric wasted no time in giving his orders. He gave off a cold and cruel aura as he had no
sympathy toward anyone who dared harm her.
Baz nodded and went back to doing his job. After a round of searching, they were finally able to locate the car the next morning.
It was abandoned at a beach close to the city.
“Mr. Cedric, Theo has abandoned the car by the beach. We’re unable to locate his exact
location as of now. This area of the beach had not been developed yet so there aren’t
surveillance cameras around.”

Cedric had not had any sleep since the moment he got the news that Maia was kidnapped.
The longer she was missing, the more he felt like he was trapped in hell. It was agonizing to know that she might be hurt, and he
would kill anyone who tried to harm her!

“Are you saying that he took Ms. Maia and Tess out to sea? How is that possible? What is his goal? Since he failed to extort
money from Ms. Maia, he’s just going to take them out at sea?”
“Money is not what he wants,” Cedric said.
“Does that mean he wants to kill Ms. Maia?”
“I’d like to see him try.” A murderous intent flashed across his eyes. This time, he would make sure that Theo would not come out
alive!
