“Why’s her phone off?” Avery mumbled softly to herself, then walked out of the house.

“Let me know how it tastes.” Shea held Avery’s hand with a face filled with excitement.” Wesley said you can’t eat
too much cake, so I made it smaller.”
“Okay. I’m sure it tastes great.”
Once they entered the living room, Avery opened up the cake box, cut a small slice of cake and tasted it. “How is
it?” Shea asked with a face filled with anticipation.
