Chapter 251 Let’s Get To Know Each Other Again

Josephine hated the fact that the car blocked her view, so she shuffled to the side.

The car door was opened from the inside. Lewis could be seen getting out of the car, Josephine didn’t

even bother glancing his way.

She was still waiting for her Lewis to leave the campus.

Once again, someone stood in her line of sight, prompting her to look up in surprise.

Lewis was clad in a black suit. His cold eyes were trained on her face at that moment.

but

Josephine averted her gaze immediately before taking two steps to the side once again. Unexpectedly,

Lewis reached out to grip her wrist tightly. “We’re going home.”

The woman glared at him with apparent disgust and disdain shining in her eyes. She struggled violently

in an attempt to yank her wrist free. The emotions in her eyes were so strong and obvious that the

man’s expression grew colder.

He dragged her toward his car while maintaining a strong grip on her.

Josephine dug her heels into the ground, refusing to leave with Lewis no matter what. Propelled by fits

of rage, she didn’t hesitate to chomp down on the back of his hand.

Her teeth happened to sink into his throbbing veins, causing him to halt in his steps.

Lewis turned around to look at Josephine. No trace of emotions could be seen in his icy

expression.

It was as though he wasn’t the one getting bitten at the moment.

When Josephine realized Lewis showed no signs of letting her go, she bit down even harder to the

point that she could feel her teeth sinking into his flesh.

However, he didn’t react at all.

Just as Josephine thought that Lewis wasn’t born with the ability to feel pain, he suddenly released her

hand and moved to grip her chin instead.

The rows of teeth marks on the back of his hand were glaringly obvious under the lamp post. A faint

sheen of red could be seen dotting the deep marks. In fact, there were even droplets of blood seeping

out of the tiny wounds slowly.

“Don’t think you can keep challenging my patience without any regard just because you’re sick in the

head, Josephine.”

Lewis’ tone was icy. It was as chilly as the air surrounding them, causing Josephine to shiver

involuntarily.

He wasn’t insulting her at all. It was true that she was sick in the head.

The woman shoved the man away from her with as much force as she could master. She then raised

her hands to gesture furiously, “I don’t know you!”

“You don’t know me?”

Lewis narrowed his eyes in response. “Who are you waiting for here?”

Josephine’s hands moved even faster. “I’m waiting for Lewis.”

The man grabbed her wrist once again before pulling her toward him. Then, he gripped her chin and

forced her to look up at him.

“Look at me properly! Who am I?”

Josephine’s eyes glittered as she studied every inch of the man’s face. His face was very

familiar, but it gave off an incredibly unfamiliar feeling.

She shook her head in response. Nope, she didn’t know who that man was.

Lewis maintained a tight grip on her chin to prevent her from shaking her head.

Josephine was either very frustrated or in so much pain that she started crying on the spot.

Hot droplets of tears soon landed on the back of Lewis’ hand.

Those teardrops also landed on the bite mark, invoking waves of burning pain from that spot.

Someone was bullying her.

If Lewis were around, he would never allow others to bully her.

A glimmer appeared in Lewis’ eyes at that moment. Suddenly, he released his grip on Josephine’s

chin. Then, he moved to grab her wrist before dragging her to the car and shoving her into the

compartment.

Josephine tried to escape once again, so the man pulled off his tie while using one hand to trap. both

her wrists together. Then, he folded her hands behind her back before using his tie to tie them up

together. Finally, he secured her in the backseat by buckling the seatbelt for her.

Josephine struggled against her bonds, soon realizing that she could not free herself. All she could do

was glare at the man, who had gotten into the driver’s seat by then. A strong sense of aggrievance

filled her eyes at that moment.

Lewis didn’t even bother looking at her. He quickly started the car and sped away swiftly.

Josephine’s tears started rolling down her cheeks in an endless stream. Lewis’ cold side profile was

akin to a sharp blade that slowly sliced through the tapestry, which depicted him and her version of

Lewis. Slowly but surely, that blade would sever the connection between them.

This Lewis wasn’t the Lewis she knew.

Josephine ripped her gaze off the man in the driver’s seat, opting to look out the window instead.

The atmosphere in the car was extraordinarily silent and tense.

Rain started pelting from the sky at that moment, but the raindrops transformed into white flecks under

the lamp posts’ illumination.

Josephine widened her eyes slowly before pressing her face onto the glass. She stared at the white

flecks of rain dancing under the lamp posts. They looked like-

Wait, they were snowflakes.

It was actually snowing in Elysium.

The woman stared out the car window. The glow of the lamp posts was reflected in her eyes. and

illuminated the snowflakes’ reflection in those glassy orbs, causing them to glimmer occasionally.

As far as Josephine knew, there were only three snowfalls in Elysium. One of them took place. when

she was only a seven-year-old kid.

Little Josephine was still asleep when a pair of cold hands snuck under her covers and dragged her out

of bed. The owner of those hands scooped her into his arms as he took her to the nearby window so

that they could watch the snowfall together.

It was a gloomy morning. Snowflakes which resembled bits of cotton fluff, floated and danced. about

outside the window. The moment Josephine turned around, the first thing she saw was a teenager’s

gleaming eyes which held a hint of a smile.

The second time Josephine witnessed a snowfall, she was already 15 years old. When class was done

for the day, she heard her classmates exclaiming about the snowy weather cheerfully.

Josephine leaned on the windowsill and looked down. The scene that she witnessed was one. that she

would never forget-a teenage boy clad in a white shirt happened to be waving at her from below a

maple tree. Snowflakes and maple leaves could be seen landing on his form.

It was probably the most breathtaking scene she had ever witnessed throughout her adolescence.

The third snowfall took place in the present moment.

Josephine had vivid memories of the first two snowfalls. This time, however, she felt that the

snowfall wasn’t as beautiful as she remembered.

In fact, it was horrible.

The black Bentley sped into the night, thus stirring countless snowflakes into a chaotic swirl thanks to

its speed. By the time the car reached the entrance of Styx Mansion, the snowfall had. become heavier.

All Josephine could see was a white shroud of falling snow. There were even flurries of

raindrops mixed with the snowflakes. Some of them landed on her face, but they weren’t as cold as she

had imagined.

Lewis opened the car door before bending down to undo her seatbelt without saying a word.

Josephine stared at the man’s magnified face. His eyes, eyelashes, and straight nose were the exact

same as the Lewis she knew, but the cold and unfriendly expression on his face was definitely an

expression that her Lewis would never display.

While the young woman was immersed in her thoughts, Lewis had already grabbed her by her waist

before lifting her onto his shoulder.

After feeling the entire world spinning around her for a moment, she finally realized that she was being

slung on the man’s shoulder like a potato sack. Since her head was pointing to the ground, all she

could see were the snowflakes that continuously covered the ground before melting into puddles of

slush.

Since Josephine’s hands were still tied behind her back, she didn’t dare to move. Naturally, she was

unable to emit a sound as well.

That was why she seemed extraordinarily quiet.

Lewis carried her all the way to the second floor. He kicked the bedroom door open before striding in

and placing her on the bed.

Josephine looked at the man before her cautiously. At the same time, she couldn’t help but back away

from him.

Lewis took off his jacket and threw it onto the bed in a flimsy way. Then, he raised a leg and knelt on

the bed as he leaned toward Josephine.

After that, he gripped her collar and dragged her back to his side.

Josephine had to tilt her head slightly just to meet the man’s arrogant gaze. A dangerous current of

emotions could be seen swirling in his dark eyes.

“Who am I, Josephine?” Not a trace of emotions could be detected within his deep voice.

Josephine’s hands were still bound behind her back, so she couldn’t respond at all. All she could feel

was defiance as she glared at the face before her.

She didn’t want to feel his touch. She disliked hearing his voice. She hated looking at him even

more.

So, the young woman turned her head away while doing her best to struggle against her bonds. The tie

was tightly tied around her wrists, immediately causing her skin to redden.

Lewis gripped Josephine’s chin once again before forcibly turning her head back to face him. His dark

eyes were fixated on her face as though he wanted to see through her thoughts.

Josephine could not free herself from her bonds, so she decided to close her eyes to avoid looking at

Lewis.

The latter’s eyes grew cold instantly, resulting in him shoving Josephine onto the mattress.

Shocked, she quickly snapped her eyes open. The first thing she saw was Lewis taking off his watch.

He threw it at the nightstand before proceeding to unbutton his cuff links while staring down at

Josephine coldly. His merciless voice boomed at that moment. “It’s fine if you don’t know who I am

now. Let’s get to know each other again.”

Panic and anxiety started to set into Josephine’s eyes by then. She started struggling against her

bonds, this time even more violently than before.

She kept shaking her head wildly, yet the man ignored her. Instead, he leaned in and pinned her on the

bed, gazing into her eyes. His words came out in a slow and steady stream, each of them perfectly

articulated.

“Remember, my name is Lewis Alvarez.
