Chapter 386 Can I Chase You?

Finley's sudden nice behavior surprised Abbey.

Abbey was shy and quickly blushed. She glanced at Finley bashfully.

Alexa understood what he meant. However, Finley made an excuse and left the banquet directly.

Then, she received a message from Finley.

"What do you think of Thalia and me?"

This message seemed to have a sense of blame.

Alexa did feel that she had crossed the line.

Before she could reply, Terrence reached out and locked the phone screen.

He said in a deep voice, "Let it go."

Christina looked imperceptibly at their interaction and gave a meaningful smile.

Alexa was so angry yesterday. It seems that she has been reconciled with Terrence today.

Terrence was quite good at comforting people.

Halfway through the meal, Alexa was willing to talk to him again.

Terrence felt relieved and continued to put food on Alexa's plate.

Everything was fine till Alexa suddenly pressed against his chest, retching.

"Alexa, what's wrong?" Christina immediately became nervous.

"I'm fine."

Just as Alexa finished speaking, she felt more nauseous. "Sorry..."

She ran to the bathroom in a hurry.

Terrence immediately followed.

Alexa leaned over the sink and kept retching uncomfortably for a while.

Terrence handed a glass of water to her and asked Edwin to bring the car around.

"Let's go to the hospital now." Terrence seemed a little nervous.

When Alexa felt better, her face paled visibly.

However, she still gave a relaxing smile.

"What if I'm pregnant?"

"Let's go to the hospital first."

With his palms sweating, Terrence held her in his arms and walked out.

Christina had been a doctor for many years, but she was also nervous right

now.

She didn't even check Alexa's health and urged Terrence to take Alexa to the hospital.

When Finley returned, the banquet was already a mess.

Abbey stepped forward and held his hand.

She said worriedly, "Alexa did not look good. Mr. Ramsey took her to the hospital."

When Finley heard this, a trace of worry flashed across Finley's eyes.

"I'm going to the hospital now."

He replied in a flat tone and let go of Abbey's hand.

With an effort, she managed to make some progress with Finley. Abbey didn't want to miss this chance

and quickly chased after him.

After arriving at the hospital, the doctor quickly arranged a full body check.

Alexa was sitting at the examination table, with only Terrence beside her.

"Don't worry about me," She comforted him. "I will be fine."

"I know. Sweetie."

Terrence stroked her hair, his eyes full of worry and expectation.

Waiting seemed long and tortured at this moment. Terrence was too nervous to sit on the chair.

"I might not be pregnant." Alexa had regained her composure. "Recently...

you have used condoms."

"It is not always effective."

Alexa knew that Terrence cared about her health, so he would not let her

take the risk of an unexpected pregnancy.

When Finley and Abbey arrived, Thalia happened to pass by.

She came to see a gynecologist and did not expect to see Finley here.

Thalia subconsciously hid her report.

Seeing Finley holding the hand of an unfamiliar girl, Thalia got jealous and

walked over.

"Dr. McMillan, what a coincidence." Thalia greeted with a smile. "Are you

coming to work overtime?"

Christina saw the girl in front of her and looked curiously at Finley.

"Finley, do you know her?"

"Hello, Ma'am," Thalia replied politely. "My name is Thalia Crompton. I'm Dr.

McMillan's..."

She deliberately paused and looked at Finley's expression.

Thalia continued, "Patient."

"I see." Christina nodded. "Nice to meet you."

But Abbey felt that something was wrong.

Thalia looked at Finley as if they were very familiar with each other.

"Dr. McMillan, are you friends with Ms. Crompton?" Abbey asked softly.

"Just as she just said."

Finley's dark eyes stared straight at Thalia.

"She is my patient."

Abbey didn't believe that. Since Finley had already said so, she didn't ask

further.

"Glad to meet you. Is this young lady also Dr. McMillan's patient?"

"No!" Abbey immediately denied, "We..."

Finley had not acknowledged their relationship. Abbey's voice died down.

Christina also noticed something wrong.

At this moment, Terrence and Alexa came out of the examination room.

They hurriedly went up to ask for results.

"What did the doctor say?" Christina said impatiently, "Let me see."

"It's just a cold," Alexa slowly explained. "Perhaps I caught a cold last night."

"Mom, I'm sorry for not taking good care of her," Terrence said sincerely. "I

will take Alexa home tonight."

"Okay."

Christina let out a sigh of relief and saw them off at the entrance of the

hospital.

Finley did not plan to leave with them. Abbey wanted to accompany him,

but Finley sent her away.

"Go home and get some rest."

"Dr. McMillan, aren't you going to give me a ride? I dare not go home alone."

Abbey asked sweetly, which aroused the man's desire to protect her.

Thalia found that Finley really bought such a trick.

He was cold and abstinent on the outside but wild on the inside.

"Wait for me in the car. I'll come after changing my clothes."

"OK."

Abbey deliberately threw herself into Finley's arms in front of Thalia.

"Come down quick. I will wait for you."

"OK."

Thalia witnessed the whole process with a half-smile. It was not until Abbey

left that she sat next to Finley.

"Dr. McMillan, I find that you could be a good two-timer."

After Thalia finished speaking, her smile became colder.

Finley remained unmoved as if he did not listen at all. "Another girl in such a short time. Are you

serious this time? You even

brought her to see your parents."

"It has nothing to do with you," Finley replied coldly, "This is my private

matter."

"Since it's your private matter, it has something to do with me."

Thalia lifted her foot and played footsie with Finley.

"Finley, can I chase you?"

"No way."

Finley turned around and left, completely ignoring her.

"Don't regret it. Maybe there will be a day when you beg me."

"Impossible."

Alexa chuckled with interest.

She put herself back together and left.

Surprisingly, she met Christina at the corner.

"Hello, Ma'am."

Christina's face remained kind and showed no signs of anger.

"Ms. Crompton, what happened between you and Finley? Could you tell me?"

Thalia did not feel guilty. She gave a frank answer.

"I am pestering him."

"Finley seems to have a special attitude towards you," Christina asked

patiently. "What happened between you two?"

"Ma'am, if there was anything going on between us, he would probably have married me already."

"He has fallen for someone. It's the girl you just met."

Christina said straightforwardly to let Thalia abandon her thoughts.
