Chapter 314 Christina Takes Alexa Away

When Alexa woke up, she found herself lying on a soft bed.

She moved slightly, only to find that she had no strength.

After a while, Alexa forced herself to sit up and noticed that she was in a

room.

The sky outside the window was very dark, and she heard a faint roar.

She should be on the plane right now.

Everything in New York had gone far away from her.

Are Terrence and the others looking for me now? Alexa wondered.

Alexa wanted to use this last bit of time to have a farewell with them, but she did not even have the

chance to say goodbye.

Her eyes were sore, and tears streamed down.

The sound of a door lock suddenly broke the silence in the room. Alexa was shocked. She quickly

raised her hand to wipe away her tears and stared at the door warily.

The person who entered the room was Finley.

He was wearing a cold beige uniform, and he was holding a plate full of food in his hand

expressionlessly.

"You're awake, Ms. Duran," Finley greeted politely.

Alexa looked sullen. She ignored him, but she grabbed a pillow next to her and threw it at him.

"Get out! I don't want to see you," she said coldly.

Finley didn't show any emotion. He dodged the pillow and put the plate on the table.

"The nutritionist has prepared the meal for you. I've checked it. You can have it without worry."

"I told you to get out. Don't you hear it?"

"Ms. Duran, your current physical condition is not stable. You'd better not be excited. Otherwise, I am

not sure whether something worse will happen."

"Where's my phone?"

Finley didn't answer and directly handed her phone over.

Alexa was a little surprised.

"You can use your phone, but your call will be monitored."

As if she had not heard anything, Alexa directly found Terrence's phone number.

At this time, Christina appeared at the door.

"We haven't reached Ice Floral Island yet. Don't rush to call him," Christina said with a faint smile.

"What exactly do you want?"

"My good daughter, we want the child of the Duran family to be born safe and sound."

"What do you want!"

Alexa was very excited, and her eyes were blood red.

Christina wanted Alexa to give birth to the child sincerely.

The Duran family had been conducting medical research in recent years. Alexa really did not know

their true purpose.

Seeing her so agitated, Christina became cold.

"In short, you have to listen to me." Christina ordered in a dark voice, "If anything happens to this child,

I will destroy everything you care about."

Alexa looked pale. She knew that Christina was not joking.

In the past few years, Christina had dealt with many of the Duran Group's branches. She was so cruel

that it made one shudder.

At this time, Alexa's phone rang.

Her pupils contracted, and she was clearly afraid.

But Christina sneered and took a few steps closer.

"Why not answer the phone?" She said in a gentle voice, "Do you need me to pick it up for you?"

"Don't come over..."

Alexa stopped her and then answered the phone with trembling hands.

"Alexa, where are you? Mom and Dad said you went out this morning. It's getting late, so I came to pick

you up," Terrence said anxiously.

Hearing his voice, Alexa felt that her heart tightened and wanted to cry.

But Christina was in front of her. So Alexa could only pretend that nothing

had happened.

"I am at a friend's house."

"Which friend?"

"My classmate in college. You don't know her."

Alexa cried silently, but she still had to force a smile.

"I plan to stay with my friend for a few more days. Don't worry about me."

Terrence did not answer for a long time. Alexa could not help but clench

her hands, afraid that he would notice something.

But a moment later, he just chuckled.

"Good, enjoy your time."

"Yeah."

Alexa nodded, and the tears gradually blurred her sight.

Before she could react, Christina snatched her phone away and hung up.

"Dr. McMillan, stay and take care of Ms. Duran," Christina said coldly.

"Yes, Madam."

After the group of people left, only Alexa and Finley were left in the room.

He sat on a chair by the door and did not intend to talk to her.

Alexa did not want to see him and said very unhappily.

"Go out. I want to sleep."

"I was here when you were sleeping. If you close your eyes, you won't see

me," Finley replied without looking up from his book.

"I can feel your presence. It makes me feel uncomfortable," Alexa retorted.

"I can give you another tranquilizer."

Alexa was afraid that he would do something to her.

Therefore, she had to give up.

At this time, Edwin had already gathered a hundred data-tracking experts.

"Mr. Ramsey, the IP address has been analyzed. Mrs. Ramsey is not in New

York."

When Edwin reported, he lowered his head with guilt.

Terrence stood in front of the floor-to-ceiling window without answering,

and his face was gloomy.

"Keep an eye on them."

His voice was flat as he said so, and Terrence clenched his hands so tightly

that his knuckles turned white.

Alexa left me again, Terrence thought.

Terrence repeated it over and over again in his heart.

She must have been forced.

The Duran family trod on my bottom line again and again.

It was late at night.

Terrence still stood still with a strong aura that no one dared to come close

to him.

It's so late at night now. Will she be too scared to fall asleep? Will she still

be in pain? Terrence wondered.

Terrence was furious just at the thought of this. He hoped that he could

immediately destroy the family on the other side of the ocean.

After a long period of time, his phone rang again.

Terrence thought it was a call from Alexa, but it was from Scott.

His eyes were cold, but he tried his best to restrain his anger.

"Haven't you slept yet, my good son-in-law?" Scott said in a strange tone

and sneered in a low voice. "Did you miss my daughter?"

"What are you going to do to her?"

"As her parents, we just take her home. After all, it is not safe to let her stay

with you."

"Don't push your luck. You should know the consequences of hurting her,"

Terrence said angrily.

"Do you really think that the Duran family is still easy to bully?" Scott

sneered, "Terrence, I will let the Ramsey family pay the double price."

"Name a price."

Hearing these words, Scott instantly smiled contemptuously.

"Do you think I lack money?"

"I can give you 320 million dollars, but you have to ensure her safety,"

Terrence said in a low and oppressive voice. "Make sure that she won't get

hurt."

"Do you think this is a fairy tale?"
