Gareth opened the door immediately, but Elisa was nowhere to be seen.

His face immediately darkened. After checking through all the other rooms, he concluded that Elisa

was not in the house anymore.

She escaped from the second floor! Damn it!

A vein throbbed on Gareth's forehead. Elisa's actions were utterly unforeseen. His anger went over the

She didn't leave a note, showing how much she hated his presence.

As soon as the call connected, Thomas heard Gareth's threatening voice. "Find out where Elisa is."

know if Elisa has left if he's there the entire time. Can't he stop her?

replied and went to investigate immediately.

Rachel.

The call quickly connected. "Hey. Mr. May! Elisa is here, don't wony. Can you pass a message on to

Gareth? He is not welcomed here! I can take great care of Elisa, and Sheena is also with us.

Thomas replied. "Okay."

As soon as the call disconnected, Sheena looked at Elisa in confusion. "Elisa, what's wrong with

Gareth lately? Has he gone nuts or something?"

"Probably," Elisa replied sarcastically, hardly hiding her impatience.

However. Rachel looked conflicted. Even though she didn't say anything, her face was an open book.

Sheena noticed that and asked, "What are you thinking? Just tell us."

Rachel returned to her senses and glanced at Sheena. Then, she looked at Elisa hesitantly before

saying, "Elisa, I think he might have fallen for you. He's just using his grandmother as an excuse to stay

with you."

Elisa smiled. "What are you speculating about? From the beginning, he thought my dad and I had

planned for that night. He hated me because of that. He was disgusted by me and hated being with me

for three years. How could he fall for me? It could be that his grandmother had pressured him, or he

was guilty because I got injured during the business trip he forcibly took me on. He wants me to get

well soon because of all that?"

Seeing the dubious looks on their faces, Elisa smiled. "Also, I'm sure he wants me to work as soon as I

recover. It's a huge project that costs a few billion."
