Chapter 2012 The Private Chauffeur
Unsuspecting, Rachel stood still in her place, occasionally casting a glance around.
It wasn’t until a car with a somewhat familiar license plate pulled up in front of her that she realized
something was seriously wrong.
She stared at the familiar car model, the familiar license plate number, and the familiar face that
appeared. after the window was rolled down.
Rachel was stunned on the spot. It took her a while to regain her senses.
“Why is it you?”
Although he had sunglasses covering most of his face inside the car, they couldn’t conceal his arrogant
expression. Who else could be so audacious but Vincent?
The mere thought that the chauffeur Elisa was referring to was him made Rachel wish she could travel
back in time. She wished she could have immediately rejected Elisa and given her a piece of her mind.
Is this how she treats her good friend?

After staring at Rachel for a while, Vincent noticed her puffing up in annoyance and showing no
intention of getting in the car. He then honked the horn and said, “Get in the car, Miss.”
Originally, Rachel didn’t want to get in the car, but it had started to drizzle outside. This spot was the
only one where she could wait for the bus without getting wet. Unbeknownst to her, a crowd had
gathered, all urging her on.
Vincent directly got out of the car with a black umbrella, intending to escort her. Helpless, Rachel could
only get in the car with annoyance.
As Vincent escorted Rachel all the way, he really did resemble a chauffeur. The people around them
couldn’t help but wonder which wealthy family Rachel was from and why her driver was so handsome.
Originally, Rachel wanted to sit in the back seat, but Vincent had already opened the front passenger
door and even made a welcoming gesture. Helplessly, Rachel had no choice but to plop down into the
seat.
As Vincent reached out to close the door, Rachel beat him to it, slamming it shut with a loud “bang.”
likely venting her frustration.
The door of the new Maybach was slammed hard, yet Vincent didn’t show the slightest hint of anger.
Instead, he was smiling with a face full of indulgence..
Immediately after, he returned to the driver’s seat and the car started up.
As for Rachel, she didn’t even look up. As soon as she got in the car, she buried her head in her
phone. bombarding Elisa with messages on WhatsApp.
What are you up to? Liz, is this how you treat someone who helped you?
You really have mastered the art of discarding someone after exploiting their usefulness, haven’t you?
You didn’t mention that the chauffeur is this guy. If you had told me earlier, I would have refused
outright. I knew you 1/2
were up to no good. I shouldn’t have trusted what you said!
Rachel sent several messages in a row, but there was no response from the other side.

Perhaps Elisa was making a call to Julia. Rachel didn’t make a call either and simply rolled down the
window for some fresh air sullenly.
She sat in the front passenger seat, making it easy for Vincent to observe her reactions through the
rearview mirror.
Seeing her all puffed up like that, he found her incredibly adorable.
If the timing wasn’t so off and if he wasn’t afraid that pinching Rachel’s face at this moment would set
her off, he probably would have done it already.
Speaking of which, he really had to thank Elisa for giving them this opportunity to be alone.
The hot spring spot was in the countryside, a place where a dead volcano was once active.
It would take roughly two hours to reach, giving them plenty of time to spend together.
In reality, Elisa didn’t think much of it; she just wanted Vincent to help drive Rachel there.
The atmosphere in the car was somewhat awkward, with Vincent constantly trying to find a topic of
conversation.
“Did you just come out from a court case? How did it go?”
Seeing that Rachel didn’t respond, Vincent deliberately provoked her. “It seems like you’ve probably
lost.”
