Chapter 184 Eric clammed up. Based on what Vincent said, it was obvious he knew quite a lot about the situation. Perhaps he even knew why Teresa had abruptly given up on her stall.

The image that Eric had tried to keep up for himself all along fell apart right in front of Vincent. Upon spotting Eric, she immediately put her guard up. "Why are you still here?" "I'm leaving," Eric shot back. He couldn't be bothered to keep up with his act anymore. Disgruntled by Vincent's retorts, he walked off in a huff.

Plus, for sreason, she felt more assured with him by her side. It was as though she had someone to rely on even if a crisis happened. Without saying a word, Vincent took the thermos from her and walked toward the pantry. Briefly startled, Tiffany quickly followed after him.

His question caught Tiffany off-guard, and it took her a few seconds to process it. But in just those few seconds, the thermos filled up, the hot water threatening to spill over. Jolting in alarm, she reached out to stop the stream of hot water. Alas, it was too late. Sof the hot water ended up splashing on Vincent's hand. Within seconds, his skin turned red.

"Run your hand under scold water," Tiffany instructed as she took the thermos from him. When he didn't show any sign of moving, she got anxious and dragged him to the sink nearby.

She turned the tap on and held the back of Vincent's hand under the running water to soothe the burn, but the angry red mark on his skin didn't go away.

"This is bad," Tiffany exclaimed. "I'll get you sointment to put on your skin." Just as she was about to leave, Vincent tugged on her wrist, making her turn back around.

He stared her in the eye and asked, "Are you worried about me?" Tiffany paused briefly before saying, "We need to deal with your burn." However, Vincent didn't let go. "Answer my question first." His gaze was so piercing that Tiffany felt like he could see right inside her.

Averting her eyes, she said, "I'm not worried about you. I'm just taking responsibility for your injury since it only happened because you were filling up the thermos forIt's the right thing to do." en "I'm talking about my previous question!" Vincent said.
