Chapter 182 The police officer nodded and had someone lead them to the roof.
While riding up in the elevator, Tiffany kept trying to call Teresa, to no avail. She was on the verge of a breakdown.
The hospital building was 32 stories high. The elevator didn't go all the way to the rooftop, so once they got to the top floor, they had to climb up a flight of stairs.

She stared at him in shock, but he didn't look at her. Instead, he hurried up to the rooftop while carrying her. Upon arrival, they were greeted by a gust of wind.
Vincent set Tiffany down before taking off his jacket and putting it around her shoulders.
"Tiff?" Teresa called out in surprise. She was standing on the side with two other police officers.
"Teri!" Tiffany exclaimed as she ran up to Teresa and hugged her. "How could you even think of doing something so foolish? No matter what happens, you're not allowed to abandon me!" She even started wailing as the dread of losing Teresa sank in, suffocating her.
Bewildered at first, Teresa soon began patting Tiffany comfortingly while saying, "I think you misunderstood. I'm not the one who wants to jump." Still teary-eyed, Tiffany asked, "Really? It's not you?" "Yeah." Teresa was just about to explain the situation when a police officer cover and said, "He's in a volatile state right now, and he insists on talking to you." Just then, a familiar voice rang out.
"Teri, I'm going to count to ten! If you don't cover, I'll jump!" Tiffany's eyes widened in shock. "Eric's the one who's on the ledge right now?" She couldn't believe he was the one who was threatening to jump off the building.
"One!" "Two!" Frowning, Teresa said, "I'll go over there and talk to him." She was just about to move when Tiffany grabbed her. "Teri..." Teresa patted Tiffany's hand and assured her, "Don't worry. The police officers will keepsafe." Nevertheless, Tiffany was still anxious. "Be careful, Teri. I can't lose you!" Tiffany didn't care whether Eric jumped or not. She was only afraid that he would go crazy and pull Teresa down with him! Teresa nodded, saying, "I'll be fine." Then, she turned to Vincent and added, "Please helpkeep an eye on Tiff, Mr. Lewis." "Of course," Vincent replied with a nod.

Biting her lip, she walked closer to them. At a certain point, a police officer stopped her with a warning. "You should stay here. If you get too close, you'll get in the way of our rescue attempt later." She was standing close enough to see Teresa as well as Eric, who was clutching the rusty railing.
"Teri, you finally agreed to see me!" Eric cried out tearfully. "Are you willing to forgive me?" Frowning, Teresa said, "Cdown, Eric, and we'll talk about it."
"Teri, I know I shouldn't have treated you like that. I shouldn't have hit you! I'm a lousy husband! But Teri how can you expectto stand by and do nothing while you abort our baby? "You might as well kill me! If I die, would you be willing to spare the baby's life? Can you let the baby carry on my family name?" "Eric! Now is not the tto discuss this. Get down from there, and we'll talk things out!" Teresa replied.
Eric was standing on the edge of the roof. Though he was clutching the railing with his hands, he was leaning away from it, putting him in a precarious position. Staring at Teresa with tear-filled eyes, he declared, "Teri, I know I uT
made a huge mistake. If you refuse to forgive me, all I can do is ux, go is kill m myself to make it up to you. Once I die, make sure you and the baby have a good life." He released one hand, and half of his body began swaying in the air.
