Chapter 181 Tiffany was startled. Didn't Charles mention something about a driver? Why was he bringing up Vincent all of a sudden? Before Vincent could say anything, Tiffany quickly declined the offer. "I wouldn't want to inconvenience Mr. Lewis. I'll just get a cab." She hurried off at once.

Tiffany was hoping that the cab she cin earlier was still around. That way, she could ride it back to the hospital.

Alas, when she cout, the cab was nowhere to be found. She tried to book another cab, but even after three minutes, she couldn't find one. This was one of the flaws of being in a luxury residential neighborhood.

Tiffany decided to walk out of the neighborhood first. Moments later, she heard a car coming from behind. Soon, it stopped in front of her.

Vincent, who was in the car, said through the open window, "Get in." Shaking her head, Tiffany replied, "It's fine, Mr. Lewis. I can get a cab..." Brow creasing, Vincent said, "Don't overthink it. I'm just doing it because Charles askedto. The Stewarts' driver took the day off, so it wouldn't be nice of them to ask him to cover just to give you a ride-not when I can easily do it instead." Since he put it that way, it would be a little unreasonable of Tiffany to reject him. After hesitating for a few seconds, she opened the back door and got into the car.

"Am I dropping you off at Atwood University?" Vincent asked.

"No. Taketo the hospital, please." "Alright," Vincent replied. He drove off without asking any further.

Relaxing music was playing on the car stereo. Throughout the journey, Vincent remained quiet, and Tiffany kept staring out the window. They didn't talk to each other at all.

As they approached the hospital, they saw a group of people gathered out front. Several police cars were parked beside the hospital building, their lights still flashing. Tiffany tensed up. As soon as Vincent stopped the car, she dashed out, saying, "Thank you for the ride, Mr. Lewis. Goodbye." She immediately rushed toward the hospital.

The crowd was abuzz with a flurry of comments. Everyone was looking up at the top of the building.

The police had cordoned off the entrance to the hospital building, and a bunch of firefighters were busy setting up a giant inflatable mat.

Tiffany grabbed one of the women nearby and asked, "What's going on?" The woman pointed to the rooftop and said, "A pregnant woman wants to jump off the building!" "A pregnant woman?" "That's right. I think I heard them saying that her husband physically abused her. She's pregnant, so she asked for a divorce, but her husband refused. That's why she's resorting to such extremes..." When Tiffany heard the woman describe the person who wanted to jump, her body went numb. That sounded so much like Teresa's situation. However, when she left the hospital, Teresa seemed to be in a pretty stable mood. She didn't think her sister would do such a thing.

Trembling from fear, Tiffany got her phone out and called Teresa, but the call went unanswered.

All of a sudden, someone in the crowd screamed.

The person standing on the edge of the roof had moved a little, and it looked like they were about to fall.

"Teresa!"

Panicking hard, Tiffany ran to the entrance of the building, only to be stopped by the police officers standing guard there. "Hold it. What are you doing? Can't you see we have an emergency going on here?"

"The person up there is my sister! Letin. I need to talk to her! Tiffany e.

cried out in agitation. "Your sister?" the police officer repeated, somewhat taken aback.

Just then, a pair of hands held Tiffany's shoulders firmly and helped her remain upright.

She swiveled her head around and saw Vincent standing behind her.

After glancing at her, he said to the police officer, "Let us in. She's the pregnant woman's sister, so she E might be able to change her mind."
