Then, she didn't say anything else and let him hold her however he wanted. After a long while, she couldn't resist asking, "Xavier, are you sure you only remember me?" Xavier's heart skipped a beat, and he nodded. "Yeah." After hearing a confirmation, she couldn't help asking again, "Do you really like me?" "Yes," he answered without a second thought. Xavier had never admitted that he liked her before he'd lost his memories.
As Yvette lay in his embrace, she becmore certain of the thought in her mind. She was ready to accept everything the way it was now.
After all, the doctor had said that Xavier might not be able to regain his memories. She wondered if they could continue being together like this.
