Chapter 177
“Huh? He was looking for me?” Clara felt her mouth go dry in an instant ‘Maybe, maybe I was in the
restroom.”
Emmett could tell she was fibbing.
“What’s up with you? You’re talking all vague, are you hiding something from me?”
“Absolutely not!” Clara quickly squeezed her eyes shut and gave a forced laugh. I’m just trying to recall!
Ever since I started on this blueprint, my mind’s been swamped with design stuff. You suddenly asking
me what I’ve been doing all day, why I left the office, I need a moment to think!”
Emmett didn’t push further, feeling somewhat relieved.
Follow on NovᴇlEnglish.nᴇt“Didn’t realize you loved design so much.”
“Don’t you think it’s a huge accomplishment seeing your own design transform into a skyscraper?”
Clara’s eyes sparkled as she spoke. Just thinking about it gets my heart pumping!”
If you’re into it, you can take over the design side of the Melendez Group as long as you’re up for it.”
Clara, although thrilled, replied, “I know my own limits! The Melendez Group is a massive company,
and the designers they hire are internationally renowned. I’m just a small fry!”
“If I say you can, you can! And who are you?” Emmett gave a slight smile. “You are the lady of the
Melendez Group! No one has more say than you.”
Looking into his eyes, Clara felt cherished.
“I wonder why Mr. Quintin has asked me here?” Taylor, brought to a hotel, began to sense something
was off.
First thing in the morning, Mr. Quintin called him up for a meeting, saying they needed to discuss a
collaboration.
Of course, he had to show up.
Upon meeting, he was taken to see the Quintin family’s properties, which he could understand. But…
now being suddenly taken to a hotel…
He was genuinely puzzled! So he was a bit worried about Mr. Quintin’s intentions.
Mr. Quintin chuckled and patted his shoulder, “I’ve heard that Mr. Atwood is a whiz in the business
world! So I wanted to take a bit of your time and ask for your opinion on this hotel. Is it worth
acquiring?”
Follow on Novᴇl-Onlinᴇ.cᴏmTaylor was taken aback, but he looked around and gave his opinion, “Mr. Quintin, you’ve always been
in real estate. Switching to the hospitality industry would be a big transition. You shouldn’t rush into it!
There’s a saying that changing industries is like climbing a mountain.”
Mr. Quintin nodded, unconsciously scanning the surroundings before speaking. “Indeed, your advice is
invaluable, Mr. Atwood! I thought the hotel industry was a good money–making venture! Especially this
hotel, it’s a go–to for many celebrities and VIPs! There must be a reason they choose it. If I bought it,
wouldn’t I make a fortune?”
Taylor shook his head, speaking earnestly, “You can buy the hotel, but you can’t necessarily buy the
clientele.”
“You’re right! I shouldn’t make impulsive purchases!”
“Anything else? If not, we should leave before the media misinterprets this.”
