Chapter 5679 As she spoke, Heather passed Ambrose a cup of tea.
Ambrose took it from her, taking a deep breath. "Veron treated you awfully, and almost got the both of us killed, Heather. Are you really still trying to speak up for her?" Heather let out a soft sigh in response.
"I know you're still angry over what she did, but nobody's perfect, right? Who doesn't make mistakes? Besides, she only did all of that because she liked you so much." Heather sat next to Ambrose, putting her hands below her chin to gaze out of the window. "My parents taught me from a young age to try to see the best in people, and have a generous heart.
That's the easiest way for someone to be happy." Ambrose fell into thought at the words briefly, flashing a pained smile.
"You're far too kind for your own good, Heather. Alright, I'll let the past go." "Wonderful!" Seeing as he was finally calming down, Heather was nothing but joyous as she beamed, "That's my Brother Ambrose." As she spoke, Heather tugged at Ambrose's arm and said soothingly, "Drink your tea, Ambrose. I'll bring some medicine to Veron and check on her in the meantime, alright?" What? Ambrose stopped short at the words,

It's only right for me to check on her on your behalf." Ambrose hesitated before nodding.
"Alright, since you insist. I'll go with you." Veron had an infamous temper, and there was no way anything good could come out of Heather seeing her.
No, he would have to supervise the visit.
Yet Heather shook her head. "I don't think you should come, Ambrose, There was already conflict between the both of you at the main hall; I'm worried you might get into an
argument if you run into each other." | "Don't worry. I'm just going to give her a few pills, it'll be fine." As the final word rang through the air, Heather pecked Ambrose's cheek softly and gazed at him expectantly.
Heather was a kind woman, and had been quite worried about Veron and Ambrose's mutual hatred.
Sensing the kiss and Heather's gentle tone, Ambrose had no choice but to comply. "Alright, then. Do get back right away." "Yes, of course!" Heather was plenty happy that he had finally said yes, and called out in response before stepping out.
Over on another end.
Antigonus looked around the back chambers, and finally found the one Veron was resting in.
All that could be seen were two female Elysium Gate pupils standing guard outside quietly.
This was hardly a problem to Antigonus. The only person in the Begonia Residence who posed as a threat to him was Darryl. Thus, he walked over briskly, not waiting for them to say anything before swiftly blocking their acupoints.

dragging the bodies of the girls over to a dark spot and pushing the room door open.
In the room, Veron lay silently on the bed. She was still unconscious, but looked to be in a much better state.
Whew! Just then, Antigonus walked up to her slowly as he stared at her. "It really isn't my intention to kill an innocent, powerless woman like you, but I've got no choice." As the final word rang through the air, Antigonus summoned his energy to strike.
Yet just then, a series of raps sounded on the door. It was followed by a charming voice saying, "Sister Veron! Are you awake now?"
It was Heather, with the medicine she had come to give Veron.
Her? Despite there being a door between them, Antigonus recognized the voice to be Heather's right away. It was the Sea Dragon Palace who had seized Heather in the first place, and he was no stranger to her voice.
What was this woman doing here? All at once, Antigonus ducked to hide by the door as his brain worked furiously.
