Chapter 5524
As the final word rang through the air, Antigonus' eyes flashed coldly. His right hand struck
quick as lightning, casting a blow sharp as a knife that pierced straight into Morticia's
back.
In the blink of an eye, fresh blood sprayed through the air.
A brilliant pain came hurtling over in waves as Morticia's body jerked, her brain buzzing
and going blank.
The Archfiend... wanted to kill her?
Morticia could have never thought that Antigonus would strike at the very final moment.
Whew...
At the same time, everyone else watching on stopped short at the sight as well.
"What's going on?"
"He's gone mad. He killed one of his subordinates."
"Is this what the Archfiend's true colors are? He's ruthless..."
Amidst the surrounding cries, Master Magaera frowned from where he was, trying to think
of something.
The gods and Fiends had been at war for many years, and Master Magaera more than

situation rashly.
Yet... him striking his own men was something that Master Magaera had far from
expected.
No way...
He must have some sort of ploy.
At the thought, Master Magaera stared intently at Antigonus, growing more and more wary
by the second.
Just then, Morticia returned to her senses as well. As blood continued to gush out of her
and her exquisite face grew paler and paler, she stared at Antigonus in shock." Honorable
Archfiend..."
As she spoke the words, Antigonus cut her off coldly. "The only punishment fit for
betraying the Fiend race, is death."
"Did you really think that I'd forgiven you? That was all a plan. How else was I going to
make the Blood Sacrifice Formation?"
The Blood Sacrifice Formation?
Morticia's chest thudded at the words. As one of the twelve Fiend Martyrs, there was no
way she did not know what the Blood Sacrifice Formation was. It was what Antigonus had
used to revive the Fiend back on the Sealed Fiend Mountain.
The Blood Sacrifice Formation was impossibly powerful, and could more than take on the
Battle of the Star Formation.
The thing was... he already had a way of breaking out of The Battle of the Star Formation.
Why was he still creating the
Blood Sacrifice Formation?
Antigonus' expression did not move an inch at the look on her face as he said coldly, "I
know you aren't going to lie to me, Morticia. But with the situation at hand, neither of us
are going to get out of here."
"The only way possible was to provoke Master Magaera into entering the formation, and
then casting the Blood Sacrifice Formation. That is my only way out. I don't wish to kill
you, but that is all I can do for the sake of the future of the Fiend race."
As the final word rang through the air, Antigonus yanked his arm out of where he had
pierced Morticia's chest. In the grasp of his palm dripping with blood was a blood crystal
ball.
It was Morticia's Fiend Soul.
In the blink of an eye, Morticia fell from the air and landed heavily onto the ground like a
dropped rock.
"Ugh..." Fresh blood sprayed from Morticia's mouth as her face was white as a sheet,
hanging on by a thread as she lay on the ground.

Morticia could feel the life draining out of her as she lay on the ground. Had Antigonus
wanted to kill her in the past, she would have volunteered herself without hesitation. Yet
at the thought of her child still on the mountain, tears began to flow from her eyes.
Just then, the air was deadly silent as everyone present was shocked beyond words.
Antigonus was truly another level of cruel, executing his own subordinate in public.
What...
Heather could not help but ache at the sight, gazing at a dying Morticia with pity and
heartbreak in her eyes.
Her child was only so young. What a shame it would be for the mother to have died...
Heather rushed over at the thought, helping Morticia up carefully as she said gently, "How
are you? Oh, why were you so foolish? You could have run away with the baby, why did
you have to come back?"
To tell the truth, Heather and Morticia barely had a friendship — in fact, between them was
nothing but vengeance. Yet Heather had been taking care of the child for over a month
now, and had obviously developed an attachment. She could not bear to see the baby's
mother die just like that.
Whew...
Morticia flashed a weak smile at Heather's words, her face paling more and more by the
second. "I supposed this is how fate has intended for things to go for me. The Archfiend's
right- the Fiend race does not back down in cowardice, and only dies in glory..." "I was
fearful and cowardly because of my child, and deserved to die..."
