Chapter 5513
In the middle of the dungeon was a three-meter-long stone platform with a skeleton sitting
on top of it.
The skeleton was dressed in a loose-fitting long robe. Four corners surrounded the stone
platform. A Frost Iron chain was attached to a protrusion on one of the corners. It was tied
to the skeleton's hands and legs on the other end of the chain.
The skeleton was obviously dead because they were trapped there. But who could that
person be? Why did the Hidden Hero Sect treat him so harshly?
Morticia was staring at the skeleton at the time, unable to escape her thoughts. She
regained consciousness a few seconds later. She strolled to one of the nearby walls and
read the words on it.
"Rufus Wintringham, the elder of the Hidden Hero Sect, acted foolishly and stole the secret
formation manuals from the sect. He had committed an unforgivable sin..."
After a few minutes, she finished reading all the words on the wall. As a result, she

The skeleton sitting in the middle of the stone platform was the Great Elder of the twelve
generations, Rufus Wintringham. He was not only talented and powerful, but he also knew
a lot about formations.
Secret formation manuals were kept in the Hidden Hero Sect's forbidden vault. The Yellow
Emperor had created it. On the other hand, those secret formation manuals were very
mysterious and profound. Since the sect's inception, no one had been able to comprehend
the mystical theory. That was why they were sealed off and hidden.
Nevertheless, Rufus was obsessed with the formation. He secretly stole the secret
formation manual and studied it. Unfortunately, he was discovered not long after. The
Hidden Hero Sect's Sect Master was enraged. No one was allowed to read those secret
formation manuals other than the Sect Master, not even when Rufus was the Great Elder.
To be honest, it was not that big of a deal. When Rufus was apprehended, he showed no
remorse. He even confronted the Sect Master, arguing that every sect disciple should be
able to study the secret formation manual. It was an unreasonable rule to prevent others
from studying it. Furthermore, Rufus challenged the Sect Master.
The Sect Master felt a surge of rage. He agreed to the challenge. They fought hard for one
day and one night. Finally, Rufus accidentally injured the Sect Master, killing him instantly.
After the Sect Master died, Rufus became the enemy of the entire sect. Many elite
disciples teamed up to apprehend Rufus and locked him in that secret chamber. He was
unable to accept the punishment when he was imprisoned. However, as the day
progressed, he gradually realized his error and began to repent.
During that time, he also engraved the secret formation manual's results on the walls
around him so that the sect could pass it down generation after generation. Unfortunately,
after Rufus was imprisoned, everyone disliked him because of the Sect Master's death.
Nobody gave a damn about him. No one had ever gone down there since he was locked
up until Morticia discovered it.
She looked at Rufus' remains after she finished reading the words on the wall. She sighed,
feeling sorry for him. Morticia then turned around to examine the densely packed,

complicated diagram. She did not realize it was unusual at first. She was stunned as she
examined it more closely.
Rufus was really a Master in Formation of the Hidden Hero Sect. All the diagrams on the
wall were the array of advanced formations and the guide on breaking the formation from
the secret formational manual. Each step was described in detail with the diagrams.
That was not the most shocking part. Morticia was most taken aback by the advanced
formations engraved on the wall, which she had never seen or heard before.
Those formations included the Battle of the Star Formation, the Great Ten Desolation
Formation, the Wheel of Fortune Formation, the Rebirth of Bloody Sea Formation, and so
on. Those were all advanced formations created by the Yellow Emperor.
Morticia was submerged in those formations at the time and had no idea where she was. It
had been an hour. After reading the array of formations and the guide on breaking the
formation, she took a deep breath. She sighed and thought, "Wow, the Hidden Hero Sect
had a genius in formation hundreds of years ago. It is a shame that a genius like him
ended up locked up here, and no one cared about him even after he died..."
