Chapter 5181
Darryl did not pay him any mind. Instead, he turned to say a few words to Zacho before
leaving.
It had been two days since he left the Pure Yang Division, and it was time to return.
Darryl's powers would be restored entirely in another half a month if nothing else came in
the way.
Then, he could break out of the chaotic void and leave that place to return to the Nine
Continent.
Haha!
Zacho did not seem to have any intention of letting Darryl leave. He let out a great laugh,
patting Darryl's shoulder as he said, "It wasn't easy for you to get here to the North Sea
Galaxy, Sect Master Darby. I still haven't thanked you properly for helping us take down
those rebels."
As he spoke, he tugged Darryl into the hall.
The situation made it hard for Darryl to turn him down, and thus, he did not push any
further.
An hour later, a sumptuous banquet had been laid out in the main hall under Zacho's
Follow on NovᴇlEnglish.nᴇtorders.
Zacho and Darryl were seated at the table along with Gigi and Vincent. Since Darryl and
Gigi were both from the Pure Yang Division, they were arranged to be seated together.
Vincent sat directly across from Gigi.
It displeased him greatly, but he decided against making a fuss since Zacho was there.
Over dinner, Darryl and Zacho chatted up a storm as they told each other about what had
happened in the past day. Of course, Darryl had not revealed that he had killed Magnum
with the intent of keeping his own identity hidden.
Quickly enough, a thought came to Darryl as he turned to address Zacho." Oh, right! What
happened to the poison in your bodies after I left that day-"
Before he could continue, Zacho smiled lightly. "We hadn't absorbed much of the poison,
and it's almost all gone by now, but... Unfortunately, my wife's condition is a little worse."
Zacho sighed and continued, "Magnum still hasn't been caught. Thus, there won't be a
cure for my wife."
Darryl smiled lightly as he took out a medicine jar holding the antidote and passed it to
Zacho. "Don't worry about that, Sect Master. Here's the antidote. Give it to your wife
later."
Indeed, it was the antidote that Darryl had gotten off Magnum after he had killed him.
Antidote?
At the words, everyone, including Zacho, Gigi, and Vincent, stopped short as they stared
intently at Darryl.
The next second, Zacho returned to his senses. He took the medicine jar from Darryl,
asking meaningfully, "Sect Master Darryl... where did you get this?"
As far as he knew, Darryl had no powers, and it was near impossible for him to get the
antidote off Magnum.
Hoho...
Darryl smiled at the confused look on his face before explaining, "This was the antidote
Magnum had. I saw it drop from his body, so I'm certain it's the antidote."
He could not tell the truth, and thus, he could only make an excuse.
"Magnum dropped that?"
Gigi could not help but blurt out, her exquisite features laced with confusion.
Darryl nodded, explaining with a solemn expression, "Magnum betrayed the North Sea
Follow on Novᴇl-Onlinᴇ.cᴏmGalaxy and dropped the antidote in haste to save his life when he escaped from the main
altar. I was just probably lucky enough to stumble upon it."
Whew...
At the explanation, realization dawns upon Gigi and Zacho's faces.
It was also then that Vincent let out a light chuckle.
"Ha! I thought that Sect Master Darryl had done some great noble deed to force Magnum
into handing the antidote over. Turns out he just picked it off the ground."
His tone was laced full of disdain and mockery.
As the words rang through the air, Gigi's exquisite features flashed uncomfortably as she
chided, "Don't say that, Brother Vincent."
Either way, Darryl was the head of the Elixir Sect at the Pure Yang Division. Since the
North Sea Galaxy was already the laughing stock of other sects, how would the Pure Yang
Division's reputation hold up if it went on?
Seeing as Gigi was on Darryl's side, Vincent’s displeasure increased even more as he
spoke with a righteous expression.
"Ami wrong? He admitted that he picked it off the ground."
As he spoke, he stared at Darryl with a challenging expression.
Hoho...
Vincent's tone annoyed Darryl greatly. He let out a light chuckle as he said," That's right. I
did pick that medicine jar off the ground. I'd like to see you try to do that as well."
