Chapter 5076
The thunderstorm lasted up to eight hours. After that, the skies cleared as light broke.
Whew!
At the sight, both Ambrose and Neil let out a sigh of relief.
Yet just then, Heather could take it no longer. She keeled over onto the ground, her face
ashen and her body devoid of strength. She had not eaten nor drank for three days and
had just survived a thunderstorm.
"Heather."
At the sight of her, Ambrose scrambled to help her stay upright. "Are you alright?' As he
spoke, he felt her pulse and instantly guessed that Heather was in this state due to
hunger.
"I..."
Sensing Ambrose's care, Heather squeezed out a smile as she said weakly, "Ambrose,
I'm... I'm hungry." She was already a pretty frail lady and was a little shy to admit her
hunger then. Her voice was extremely low; only Ambrose could hear her.
Ambrose smiled faintly as he retrieved the fish he had grilled before from his keepsakes
and passed it to Heather.

you've been held captive." Despite Heather having not said anything, Ambrose was able
to deduce that Heather had starved herself in protest of being captured, and that was why
she was in her current state.
Heather smiled faintly, not saying anything more as she began to take small bites of the
fish.
Not long after, Heather's face began to regain a bit of color as she looked to be in much
better spirits.
Whew!
Seeing as she was fine, Ambrose let out a breath of relief before turning to look at Neil and
the baby.
All that could be seen was that the baby's eyes were closed as he dozed peacefully. Back
during the thunderstorm, Neil had been channeling his internal energy to form a
protective shield around the baby. This was why the baby had been completely unharmed
from the rain, not affected at all.
"What a cute baby."
Just then, Heather came forward as well. She stared at the back with huge eyes, unable to
hide her joy. "I'm pretty sure he was born not long ago from the looks of it. What's his
name?"
She was a kind girl and could not resist such a cute baby.
Well...
At the question, Ambrose and Neil exchanged a glance as neither of them responded. To
them, this was merely a child they had used to get Heather back and nothing more.
As neither of them said anything, Heather did not ask further and reached out to hold the
baby in her arms.
It was late in the afternoon then, but the sun hung high in the sky still. The baby seemed
to be a little restless under its relentless rays and shifted his chubby body around. It was
an adorable sight.
Heather's fondness only grew by the second, and she wanted nothing more than to play
with the child. Yet seeing as he was sleeping so soundly, she held back and bent her body
over him to shield him from the sunlight.
"Ah, right!"
Just then, a thought seemed to come to heather as she tilted her head to ask Darryl,
"Ambrose, did that man who brought me over call this baby the Young Master? Could it be

Before she could finish, Ambrose smiled tightly as he said, "Yes, he's the child of the
Dragon King Empress." As the guard of the Elysium Gate, Ambrose was an honest man
and would not hesitate to admit to things that he had done.
"Sister-in-law!"
Neil piped up as well. "This baby's no ordinary kid. Orthere'd be no way we could have
used him in exchange for you. Boy, was it hard for Ambrose and me to rescue you. We
almost died."
At the thought of how terrifying Antigonus was, Neil's chest thumped with residual fear.
Heather's face reddened at Neil's words. A thought seemed to come to her, and she bit
her lip as she said, "It's so sad that this baby has to part with his mother practically out of
the womb. Ambrose, let's send him back."
Despite all those people at the Dragon King Palace who were nothing but evil, the baby
was innocent.
What?
At the words, Neil almost leaped into the air with an expression of incredulity. "You must
be out of your mind, Sister-in-Law. There are tens of thousands of people on Dragon King
Island; their security’s impenetrable. Even a fly wouldn't get past them." "Also, Ambrose
and I risked our lives to get you out of there. We're only signing ourselves up for trouble if
we send the kid back."
