Chapter 5074
Just then, over on another end.
Ambrose and Neil quickly returned to the abandoned island with the baby.
Dawn had broken then, and the child had woken up. He opened his eyes, blinking
curiously at the two men.
At the sight, Neil could not help but chuckle. He stretched out a finger to gently stroke the
baby's chin. "You know what, he's pretty cute."
To tell the truth, Neil had planned to be wary as this was the enemy's child. Yet the baby
was too cute, and he could not bring himself to be cold.
Ambrose frowned as well. Neil didn't know if they would bring Heather forward for the
swap, so why did he look so happy?
Just then, the child's gaze turned onto Ambrose before beginning to chuckle as well. He
flailed his limbs about with mirth, not unlike a child who had just seen family.
The baby shared a father with Ambrose, which would make Ambrose his brother. Although
neither of them knew then, blood was still thicker than water, and the familiar bond could
be felt even upon first meeting.
Yet Ambrose did not understand what was going on, and his frown only deepened.

Was this devil's spawn mocking me?
Eh?
At the sight, Neil wondered curiously to himself, 'Why isn't the child afraid of strangers?'
Following that, Neil glanced at Ambrose. He took another look at the child and could not
help but chuckle. ' Hey Ambrose, is it just me, or does the kid look a little like you?" "Dude,
do you think you're related? Look at how he's smiling at you."
As he spoke, Neil burst into laughter.
He could tell that Ambrose was plenty anxious then and was trying to liven the mood.
"Shut up, man..."
At the words, Ambrose was torn between amusement and frustration as he said
impatiently, "Stop with that nonsense. He's the child of a pirate leader. How could I be
related to him?" i
As he spoke, Ambrose's annoyance grew, and he passed the baby over to Neil. "Here, you
hold him for a while. I'm going to see if anyone's coming over from Dragon King Island."
"Waaah..."
Yet just as the child left Ambrose's arms, he began to wail loudly.
Neil scrambled for a solution. "Dude, the kid won't stop crying. What should we do?" As
the Young Master of the Eternal Life Palace Sect, Neil had seen much of the world in the
years he had spent wandering it. Yet this was something he had never experienced and
threw him off guard all at once.
Ambrose, too, was annoyed by the crying. He scratched his head. How would I know? Do
you think we should feed him?"
As he spoke, Ambrose cast a look at his surroundings.
Aside from catching fish, there was no other way to get food on the island. Yet could a
child this young eat fish?
All at once, the two brothers were at a loss.
"Ambrose Darby..."
Just then, a shout sounded from not far away on the ocean, radiating with anger.
At the sound, Ambrose and Neil turned their heads immediately as their chests thudded
with shock.
All that could be seen was a small boat speeding over. At the head of a boat stood a man
with an ashen expression. He radiated an unusually strong aura. It was Forsythe, here to

Behind him on the boat sat a charming figure, her hands tied behind her back. It was
Heather.
At the sight of her, Ambrose lit up in an instant, both in excitement and fury.
He could clearly see that Heather had grown even more beautiful and breathtaking in the
years that they had not seen each other. Yet she appeared extremely pale and weak as if
she was about to keel over at any moment.
Motherf*cker...
At the sight, Ambrose clenched his fists. What had these Dragon King Palace bastards
done to torture Heather?
Just then, Heather caught sight of Ambrose as well. She lit up immediately, crying out with
joy, "Ambrose!"
Heather had thought that Forsythe had been up to something on the way here. It was only
at the sight of Ambrose that she realized that someone had really come to save her, and it
was someone that she had been thinking of as well.
"Heather!"
A smile broke out on Ambrose's face as he said in a tone brimming with warmth. "Don't
worry. We've come to save you."
Just then, Forsythe stopped the boat at the shore.
