Chapter 5049
What happened next shocked them again.
Morticia walked down quickly, bent her knees, and knelt in front of Archfiend Antigonus.
Her beautiful face was full of excitement and joy." Pleasure to see you again, Your
Excellency."
All of a sudden, the entire hall fell into silence.
The rest of the people froze as if they were dumbfounded. Their brains buzzed and went
blank.
What happened?
How could the Empress kneel toward that man and refer to him as His Excellency? Who on
earth could make the Empress so humble?
Everyone looked at that scene in a daze and did not speak for a moment. There was pin-
drop silence in the hall.
"Get up!" "Times have changed. You don't need to be so formal."
Morticia stood up slowly. She was very excited. 'Great! Archfiend Antigonus is still alive,
and the fiend race has a chance of survival.'

The next second, Morticia looked around and said to the rest of the people, "Everyone,
listen carefully. From now on, he is the Sea Dragon Palace's Emperor and the Dragon King
Island's master.
"You must try your best to assist him. If you don't obey him, don't blame me for being
ruthless."
Her voice was clear, without any doubt, and had no room for further questions.
The rest of the people looked at each other. 'What's going on? 'The Empress is giving up
the whole island to that man?' 'How can she do that?'
However, when they saw the serious look on Morticia's face, no one dared to go against
her in public.
The next second, Forsythe knelt before the crowd and said respectfully," Your Majesty." As
a seasoned traveler, Forsythe not only relied on his strength but also on the ability to
judge any situation.
The Empress was respectful toward that man. If he did not obey, he would have a
miserable ending. Therefore, Forsythe surrendered decisively, and when he saw Morticia
refer to the man as His Excellency, he also did the same.
Forsythe did not know the man's real identity, but if the man could make the Empress
flatter him, then he must have an extraordinary background.
When they realized Forsythe had given in, the others did not hesitate any longer. They,
too, knelt.
"Your Excellency!"
There was no change on Archfiend Antigonus' face. He nodded, slowly walked up, and sat
on the throne.
Morticia followed him immediately and stood respectfully at his side.
"Get up, all of you," Archfiend Antigonus said indifferently.
They expressed their thanks and stood up, one after another.
Archfiend Antigonus looked around the hall and smiled at Morticia. "I've always had great
expectations of you, so I sent you to the Nine Mainland. Now it seems like you haven't let
me down."
It was a great relief to see what Morticia had accomplished in bringing the various sized
pirate organizations together and founding the Bloody Fiend Sect in such a short amount
of time.
With a smile, Morticia said modestly, "Thank you for your praise, Your Excellency."
However, at that moment, Archfiend Antigonus' eyes fell on the child in the arms of the
maid next to him. He frowned and asked, "Morticia, is that your child?”
His voice was calm, but there was a trace of sharpness in it.

Her beautiful face could not hide her panic. "Yes... Yes." "Born with a human?" Archfiend
Antigonus's face gradually darkened.
Morticia became nervous. A layer of cold sweat beaded on her beautiful nose. She lowered
her head and said, "Yes." When she answered, Morticia was so scared that she almost
could not kneel.
Everyone was aware of the fiends' clear rule that no one was permitted to have a personal
relationship with gods. If not, they would suffer harsh punishment.
Fiends were forbidden to form a relationship with gods, let alone a human being, who they
treated as mere ants.
Morticia was one of the twelve Fiend Martyrs, yet she had a child with a human. That was
simply a humiliation to the fiends. How could Archfiend Antigonus not be enraged?
"Who is that man?" With an expressionless face, Archfiend Antigonus looked around the
people in the hall and said coldly, "Is he here?" "No, he's dead," said Morticia in a
trembling voice. She knew what kind of person Archfiend Antigonus was. He would be
furious if he knew that she had a child with Darryl.
Furthermore, the child would never make it out alive. So she could only lie that the child’s
father was dead.
