Chapter 4577
So, the Empress had thrown Darryl into prison not just to vent her anger, but she had also
done it with Prince Auten's future in mind.
However, the Nine Heaven Emperor had declared that Prince Aurin was next in line to the
throne. How would Empress Heidi change that?
Master Magaera took a deep breath and told her his thoughts.
“Magaera!"
Empress Heidi bit her lip, saying in a low voice, "I'm well aware of that.
That's why I'm going to need your help."
"Me?" Magaera stopped short, slightly confused. "How can I help?"
Empress Heidi smiled lightly. "You're one of the most powerful people in the Godly Region
and the late Emperor's right-hand man. If you support Auten, no one will dare retaliate
against your decision."
Empress Heidi looked upto stare at Master Magaera.
Master Magaera's chest thumped slightly. At the same time, he was caught off guard. "Is

sin by going against his wishes?“
Master Magaera was an honest person; he would not do anything that would go against
justice.
Empress Heidi let out a troubled sigh. "It's alright if you don't want to do it. The Emperor's
gone anyway, along with all my hopes and dreams. I will return to the Jade Fairyland with
Auten tomorrow, and we'll live out the rest of our lonely lives there."
Empress Heidi's expression was stricken with grief, her exquisite features twisted in
disappointment.
Yet, her gaze never left Master Magaera; she watched his emotions shift.
Empress Heidi was an intelligent woman, and it was just a game of reverse psychology.
Master Magaera did not respond immediately. Instead, he knitted his brows and fell deep
into thought.
"Magaera!"
Empress Heidi lifted her hand to touch Master Magaera’s arm softly as she said, "I know
how you've felt about me all these years, and I hold much affection for you as well. It's a
shame we're in different positions of power.
“I thought that if Auten became the Emperor, we'd be able to assist him together and see
more of each other. I guess that won't be happening.
"All I have is one last wish-for you to visit me anytime after Auten and I have moved to the
Jade Fairyland. Would you do that?"
The words were spoken in the most gentle tone; it was deeply touching. Empress Heidi's
pitiful expression made it impossible for any man to say no to her.
Master Magaera's chest pounded, overwhelmed with emotion.
So the Empress did that so she could see him more often. He had been too foolish and
blind to see any of it.
If Auten became the Emperor, the Empress' position would also rise. That would make it
much easier for her to see him in the future.
Master Magaera could not hold it in any longer. He swept Empress Heidi into his arms, his
gaze hardening with determination. "Alright, I'll do it for you, Your Majesty. I'm going to

Master Magaera's action made Empress Heidi fluster. Her exquisite features flushed a
deep scarlet. Yet, she did not struggle as she sensed his warmth.
Neither of them said anything as they gazed at each other silently.
The atmosphere in the pavilion morphed into something tender.
"Mother!"
Just then, they heard a cry nearby. Then, a figure entered the court.
His figures were handsome and chiseled, clad in silver robes and radiating an air of
royalty. It was a stark contrast to the rebellious glint in his eyes.
It was Prince Auten, Empress Heidi's son.
As Prince Auten made his way toward them, Master Magaera and Empress Heidi startled
and sprang apart from each other.
Prince Auten bowed deeply to Empress Heidi. "Mother."
As he spoke, he turned to greet Master Magaera as well. "Honorable Master." Master
Magaera's position was only second to the Nine Heaven Emperor, and he was also the
Imperial Sky Palace's protector. That was why the princes had to show him some amount
of respect.
Magaera nodded and stood to the side.
