Chapter 4571
Meanwhile, in the New World.
Yvette stood at the palace gates clad in royal robes and stared at the curious sight in the
sky.
Behind her, the civil and military officials stared at the heavens in shock as well.
None of the onlookers noticed the change in Yvette's gaze.
Archfiend Antigonus had used his own energy to control Yvette's spirit. Since Archfiend
Antigonus had fallen, the control was lost, and Yvette had slowly regained her
consciousness as well.
"Heed my orders!"
At last, Yvette snapped back to her senses. She said, "Quickly! Take the Carter family
members and members from the other sects back to the palace."
Her voice was crisp and clear; it left no room for retaliation.
"Yes, Your Majesty!"
The officials scrambled to do as told. They took off to the dungeon immediately.
They returned to the palace with hundreds of prisoners not long after that. The prisoners
included the Carter family members, Chester, and other elite practitioners from other
sects.

When Archfiend Antigonus controlled Yvette, she had gone around the World Universe,
seizing all the most powerful practitioners.
Chester and the others were taken to the palace. Their spirits looked diminished, and their
faces were pale.
Everyone, including Chester and the rest, stopped short when they saw the changes in the
skies.
What had happened?
Did the Godly Region warriors descend again?
It did not look like it.
Yvette stood up with an unreadable expression on her face. She waved her hand. "Untie
them." Yvette had regained her consciousness, and she felt nothing but remorse at the
thought of being under Archfiend Antigonus's control.
What?
The civil and military officials in the room were startled; they were shocked.
What was going on with the Empress?
They had captured those men with difficulty. Why did she want to free them?
"Your Majesty!"
Finally, a general stepped forward and asked carefully, "Those are some of the most
powerful people in the World Universe. The consequences of letting them go might be
pretty dire."
The general thought that Yvette was still working under the fiend race and did not realize
that the Empress had snapped me back to her senses.
"What?"
Yvette did not bother to explain herself; she glanced at him. "Are you questioning me?"
"No, of course not, Your Majesty. I would not dare." The general trembled as he shook his
head. Then, he ordered his guards to untie Chester and the rest.
What was going on?
Chester and the others finally realized what was happening to them. They frowned in
confusion.
Yvette had seized them, and then she had let them go.
What a puzzle that was!
Ever the hot-headed man, Dax stepped forward to call out loudly to Yvette.
"Hey, what's the meaning of this? You tried to force us to join the fiend race. And when
that didn't work, you're trying to play nice now?"
'We will live and die as proud people of the Nine Mainland. Well never obey the fiend
race."
The words rang through the air, and everyone nodded in agreement.
"That's right. Kill us if you must. This is not going to work."

"I'd rather die than betray my people."
The guilt gnawing at Yvette's chest only grew at the situation. She walked down slowly.
"Brother Chester, Brother Dax."
Yvette bowed deeply, speaking in a regretful tone. "It's all my fault.
Archfiend Antigonus controlled my consciousness and made me do those terrible things.
But I've returned to my senses now, and I humbly ask for your forgiveness."
Yvette's tone was sincere as she spoke.
Whew!
Everyone, including Chester, exchanged relieved glances. It was as if a huge weight had
been lighted off their shoulders.
Chester flashed a smile as he announced with great glee. "So, you're awake now! This
calls for a celebration."
Ambrose walked forward with a big smile on his face as well. "I knew that you must be
under someone's control, Auntie! Otherwise, you would never do something like that."
Yvette flashed a smile as she stroked Ambrose’s head. "It's all my fault. If I had not been
so careless, I would never have fallen under Archfiend Antigonus’s control."
Sigh!
Dax scratched his head. "You really frightened me. I thought you were going to try
something on us."
