Chapter 4474
Celine stopped her sword from piercing forward. Her brows furrowed.
At the same time, Darryl's gaze flashed as well. He asked coldly, "What secret?"
Sergio took a deep breath and wiped the cold sweat on his brow as he pointed behind him.
"The Phoenix Feather Mountain. Someone calling himself one of the twelve Fiend Martyrs
came to the Nine Mainland, saying he's looking for you."
Sergio looked cautiously in Darryl's direction.
'Looking for me?'
Darryl stopped in confusion before scoffing coldly. "The fiend race had always had it out
for me. It's no surprise that they'd come looking for me. That hardly counts as any secret
at all."
As he spoke, Darryl indicated to Celine to make a move.
Celine nodded, moving to raise her long sword once again.
"No, don't-"
Sergio panicked. He waved his hands frantically. "I'm not done! I ran into a beautiful
woman in a town. She was surrounded by guards, and they were all super strong."
Sergio looked at Darryl. "The woman had a fiend soul too. Apparently, she's a fiend
Descendant. She claims to be one of your women. That woman was fighting with that
Follow on NovᴇlEnglish.nᴇtFiend Martyr I talked about. She was with her guards."
As he spoke, Sergio snuck cautious glances at Celine. He was deathly afraid that she
would swing her sword his way.
Darryl stood rooted to the ground as he pondered that information.
A beautiful woman with a fiend soul. Could it be Yvette?
At the thought, Darryl pressed on with another demand. "Tell me what she looked like."
Darryl was smart enough to be able to tell if Sergio was lying. So, he decided to ask Sergio
for further details.
Sergio did not dare hide anything; he described Yvette's features in full detail.
'F*ck me!'
Darryl's chest pounded in glee and shock when he heard the information.
It was Yvette.
Amid his emotion, Darryl sized Sergio up. "Since they're battling the Fiend Martyr, what
are you doing here?"
"I-"
Sergio had an unreadable expression on his face as he flashed a bitter smile. "That Fiend
Martyr was terrifying; I could not have done anything to help." Gone was any trace of
Sergio's arrogance and swagger from two days ago; he looked nothing more than a pitiful
imbecile trying to save his own life.
Darryl's expression darkened.
At the same time, Celine could not help but roar, "To hell with you, you good-for-nothing
b*stard." As the words rang through the air, the longsword slashed through the air in the
direction of Sergio's chest.
That was it for him!
Sergio was scared out of his wits, but he still had his cunning tricks up his sleeves. As the
blade was about to pierce through him, an idea came to him as he pointed behind Darryl
and cried out, "I can't believe it, that beautiful woman managed to escape!"
At the same time, Sergio scrambled to summon his internal energy.
Yvette had gotten out?
Darryl had been worried for Yvette. When Sergio yelled, he turned hurriedly to look behind
him without a second thought.
At the same time, Celine and Queenie turned as well.
They were enraged instantly-there was no one there!
F*ck! 1
Follow on Novᴇl-Onlinᴇ.cᴏmDarryl could not contain his anger. That b*stard Sergio still dared pull such tricks at a time
like that.
Darryl turned back to roar at him in anger.
However, Sergio had summoned enough of his internal energy to let out a poisonous
green fog that enveloped him. He had absorbed Kendall's powers, and the poisonous fog
was one of the powers he had acquired.
The fog was impossibly thick, blocking the Darryl's and the two women's vision.
'That b*stard!'
Darryl cursed him internally, acting reflexively and raising his hands to form a protective
shield around him and the two other women to block out the fog while ushering them
backward and away from it.
Just as Darryl did that, Sergio ducked away in one swift move without further thought and
escaped into the distance. They only realized Sergio was gone when the fog had cleared.
"Ugh, how infuriating!"
Queenie stomped her feet in indignance as remorse and fury were written all over her
face. "Cunning b*stard of a man."
They had caught him, but he had still managed to escape.
Darryl could not contain his anger as well. He clenched his fists, breathing deeply. "Let's
put that aside and head for the Phoenix Feather Mountain." Darryl wanted nothing more
than to go after Sergio, but Yvette's situation was undoubtedly more urgent.
