Chapter 4313
Darryl looked at his surroundings as he thought to himself when his gaze finally landed on Jedidiah. He said calmly, "That is
a misunderstanding. I came here to talk about some important matters with my master. I have no intentions of harming
her."
Darryl looked at Khloris and said, "Isn't that right, Master?"
Darryl was anxious. If Khloris refused to believe him, it would be troublesome.
When she felt Darryl's sincerity and anxiety, Khloris exhaled and uttered weakly, "That's right, Dart is here to discuss some
matter regarding training.

Khloris felt a myriad of emotions as well.
Darryl had injured Khloris just moments ago. She should have been angry at him. However, when she saw Jedidiah and the
rest, she was reluctant to tell the truth.
Dart's real identity was Darryl-hero of the Nine Mainland, leader of the Elysium Gate. If his identity were exposed, Jedidiah

Most importantly, if she were to admit that Darryl did try to assault her, she would be deemed impure and would never be
able to show her face as the Deputy Sect Master ever again.
Khloris struggled silently and eventually decided to lie about it.
Training?
Jedidiah, Diego, Sienna, and the rest of the disciples frowned when they heard that.
If that were the case, everyone had misunderstood Dart.
A few seconds later, Jedidiah and the rest snapped back to their senses, but they seemed
doubtful.
Diego and Sienna looked at each other and sneered in silence.
They knew that Khloris was lying since she refused to look anyone in the eyes when she
said that.
"Deputy Sect Master."
Jedidiah asked Khloris with uncertainty, "Since it was just a discussion regarding training,
why are you heavily injured?"
Khloris' ability was comparable to Jedidiah's-an ordinary person would not be able to harm
her easily. The fact that she was heavily injured did not make sense to him at all.
Khloris bit her lips and responded weakly, "I probably overly trained myself before this.
When I demonstrated it to Dart, something happened and caused my internal energy to
snap at me."
Khloris had spoken weakly with her head lowered.
Khloris had always been kind-hearted and honest. She had never lied before that. The fact
that she had to lie to protect Darryl's identity made her extremely uneasy that she could
not look Jedidiah straight in the eyes.
'That seems to make sense.' Jedidiah nodded blankly and thought to himself.
Jedidiah ordered the disciples, "Snap out of it and help the Deputy up.

Bring the Detox Pill and give it to the Deputy as well."
Detox Pill was the Sword Sect's holy medicine to treat any injuries. It was especially useful
for the backlash of internal energy.
Jedidiah did not realize that Khloris was lying to him.
Darryl sighed in relief and laughed silently when he thought about how naive Jedidiah was to believe their lies so easily.
Khloris felt relieved that she got to preserve her purity as a woman since the Sect Master had bought her lies completely.
Two female disciples came forward upon hearing Jedidiah's order, helped Khloris up, and sat her down on a chair. Then,
they left the room to get the Detox Pill.
The room became quiet instantly, and not a single word was exchanged.
The air in the room shifted all of a sudden.
"Senior Brother."
Sienna frowned, muttering under her breath to Diego. "Dart was just here to talk to Khloris. If we don't seize the chance to
confront him now, our efforts would have gone to waste."
Sienna glared at Darryl in disdain, refusing to let their chance slip.
Diego took a deep breath, and his face darkened as he contemplated.
Then, he muttered under his breath, "Don't worry, just make sure you work with me later. He will slip up for sure."
