Chapter 4208
After that, Skylar had used the Reverse Fiend Soul Takeover spell to bait Yvette into joining his team.
Yvette had made a false promise then. However, Skylar had only taught her half of the spell, to
Yvette's fury, but she dared not go back on her word.
Yvette had locked herself up upon returning to the Carter family members, fiercely determined to
find out how to reverse the Fiend Soul Takeover. Yet, it had already been half a month, and she had
made no progress.
That filled Yvette with frustration.
’High Lady."
Just then, a servant girl made her way toward her in quick steps. She turned to greet Yvette.
"Someone brought a letter for you," the servant said.
Since she had lived with the Carter family members for so long, everyone called her High Lady
instead of Princess.
'A letter for me?'
Yvette's eyebrows arched in surprise. She waited until the servant was gone before she opened the
letter. What greeted her made her tremble and sent her spirits rock bottom.
There was only a single sentence. "Meet me tonight up north. Don't be late. It's an emergency." The
Follow on NovᴇlEnglish.nᴇtletter was not signed, but there was a drawing of a Cloud Valley.
Skylar?
The sight of the cloud further confirmed Yvette's assumptions, and she was confident that
Skylar had been the one to send the letter.
Skylar's letter did not mean anything good.
Yvette found herself immensely frustrated with no way to feel better.
If she were to flake, there was no way she would be able to handle the fiend soul were it to
flare up and take over her body.
The thought of the Fiend Soul Takeover made Yvette's heart pound uncomfortably.
’Sister Yvette!"
Just then, a clear voice rang through the air. Two stunning figures entered the garden in
quick strides.
One wore a long, pale green dress and had her hair in a high ponytail, radiating with
youthful elegance.
Another was clad in a skimpy bright yellow two-piece; she was bright-eyed and breath-
taking.
It was Jewel and Sara. 1
Their appearances made Yvette's eyes flash with panic. She put away the letter in a hurry.
There was no way she could let anyone know about what had happened between her and
Skylar. 3
"Sister Yvette."
Sara clutched Yvette’s hand, speaking in a pleading tone, "I've run into some problems
while trying to cultivate. I told Jewel about them, and she doesn't have a solution either.
Can you please help me out?"
Yvette was a lady of great intelligence, and Sara admired her. She would approach Yvette
whenever she had any problems.
Then, Jewel piped up as well. "Yes, I can't understand Sara's problem either. You must have
a way to solve it with all your wisdom, Sister Yvette."
Yvette exhaled softly. She shook her head. "You should look for Senior Chester or Dax and
the others. I've run into some cultivation problems myself."
Yvette flashed a brief smile before turning to walk out of the garden.
Yvette was already plagued with the Fiend Soul Takeover and her deal with Skylar. She
hardly had any time to help Sara out.
When Yvette left, Sara and Jewel stood frozen as they exchanged unreadable looks.
Follow on Novᴇl-Onlinᴇ.cᴏmSara spoke first upon snapping back to her senses, and she frowned."
What's up with Sister Yvette? She seems busy these days.”
"Yeah."
Jewel was confused, too. "I think something off about her. There seems to be something on her
mind. I reckon she's run into some trouble."
Jewel was the more analytical of the two. Seeing how Yvette had rushed off only further proved her
suspicions.
’Whatever."
Sara flashed a forced smile. "I'm off to ask Senior Chester, then. You have fun on your own, Jewel."
Sara turned to leave the garden, setting off in the direction of Chester's study room.
Jewel grunted in acknowledgment and proceeded to head in the direction of Yvette's room.
Jewel had thought it through. She would find out what had happened to Yvette and then figure out a
way to help. Yvette was the apple of the High Master's eye. She could not just stand and watch if
something had happened to her.
However, when she reached Yvette's personal room, the door had been bolted shut.
Jewel did not break into the room. Instead, she sat patiently at the side.
Time ticked on as seconds bled into hours.
Before long, the sky had darkened. There was still no sign of Yvette.
Jewel did not panic. She continued to wait outside.
