Chapter 4157
Not suspecting anything, Morticia nodded. "Good. I'll need to trouble you to look after the Black
Tortoise King."
In her eyes, Darryl was highly capable and she was not worried about him pulling any tricks. After
all, they were at the fiend race camp. However, Oliver, who was following behind them, scowled.
'D*mn it. What's Darryl trying to do now? Why is he bothering to take care of my father when I
humiliated him previously,' he wondered.
He thought of questioning Darryl, but he changed his mind as Morticia was next to them. Then,
Morticia rushed off to see Archfiend Antigonus after saying a few words.
Soon after, Oliver could not help but scurried over and said coldly to Darryl, "Darryl, stop pulling
tricks with me. You better forget about it if you're thinking of harming my father.'
As he spoke, he looked ferocious.
To Oliver, the grudge between Darryl and him had worsened and he thought Darryl would never be
kind enough to take care of the Black Tortoise King.

'What a fool,' Darryl thought.
"Oliver, no matter how bad I am, I wouldn't be as shameless as you are. If you're worried
about me harming your father, you can stay by his side," he said, not wanting to entertain
Oliver.
Then, he mocked, "Or, are you too afraid to do that?"
Instantly, Oliver's face turned red. He was felt awkward and was left speechless. That was
because Darryl was right. How would Oliver dare to stay beside the Black Tortoise King?
The Black Tortoise King was a tough man and Oliver, his son, had attacked him out of
nowhere. Oliver even threatened the Black Tortoise race with the life of the Black Tortoise
King. The Black Tortoise King would not easily forgive him when he sees Oliver beside him
when he wakes up. Oliver was aware of that and he could not respond to Darryl's mocking.
"Let's go!" Darryl scoffed at Oliver's silence and ordered a few fiend race warriors to bring
the Black Tortoise King to a tent nearby to rest.
At the tent, Darryl ordered the fiend race warriors to leave and sat quietly while waiting for
the Black Tortoise King to wake up.
Ten minutes later, the Black Tortoise King moaned and slowly opened his eyes.
At the moment the Black Tortoise King woke up, he was enraged as he recalled what had
happened. 'Oliver, what a b*stard! How can I maintain my position in the future when the
whole world knows my son threatened me?'
At the same time, he looked around him and was stunned. 'Huh?'
He saw he was lying in a humongous tent with simple furnishings and the fiends' style.
Also, standing next to him was a man. He was shocked when he saw the man was Darryl.
He narrowed his eyes and said harshly, "Darryl? What are you doing here? Did you really
surrender to the fiend race?"
The Black Tortoise King was not in a daze. He looked around and he knew he had been
brought to the fiend race camp. Seeing Darryl next to him had also proven that he had
surrendered to the fiend race.
Feeling the Black Tortoise King's animosity, Darryl took a deep breath and laughed. "Your Excellency,
Follow on Novᴇl-Onlinᴇ.cᴏmdon't become agitated. I only pretended to surrender to the fiend race but I don't intend to actually
do it."
Then, he explained how he was betrayed by Oliver, how General Grunt found him, and how he
ended up with Morticia.
In the end, he shrugged and said helplessly, "I never thought that your son, Oliver, would also fall
into the hands of the fiend race. Plus, he surrendered himself to Morticia the Witch very quickly."
After finding out the truth, the Black Tortoise King eased up and realized that Darryl had no choice.
Then, he let out a long sigh and said angrily," Karma. Indeed, it is karma. I've been a hero my whole
life. Who would have thought that I'd end up in the hands of this disgraceful son."
"Darryl, what about my people?" he asked.
"Oliver threatened them and they surrendered to the fiend race,” Darryl said, sighing.
Boom!
Overcome with anger, the Black Tortoise King slammed the table in front of him and grunted, "My
son is a disgrace. Thanks to him, I'm embroiled in a conflict with the White Tiger King. If I had known
earlier, I would've let Mona kill him."
