Chapter 4099
Grunt could hardly contain his anger.
Darryl had stolen the Princess from him. What was wrong with him seeking revenge for that? Yet, in Leia's eyes, he had
become a lowly shameless b* stard.
F*ck! Darryl had stolen someone else's woman-was that not lowly and shameless too?
Grunt had no intention of attacking Leia. He had agreed with Oliver first to seize Darryl, then carry out an elaborate act of
saving the damsel in distress with Oliver's help. Yet Leia's shouting had angered him to no end, and he found himself
unable to tolerate it.
The slap knocked Leia out, and it took her a while to regain her senses. She stared in enraged horror at Grunt. "You slapped
me, you b*astard! You've never been anything more than one of the Nine Heaven Emperor's minions, and now here you are
speaking so lowly of Honorable Master Darby. I think it'd be a compliment even to call you a shameless, lowly b*stard!"
Leia was practically blind with rage. She was the White Tiger King's daughter, used to being treated with grace and respect.
How could she swallow the abuse and disrespect Grunt had just shown?
However, before she could finish her lament, Grunt had landed yet another slap on her!
'Shut up, woman! I see you're still too blind to see the truth. You seem to care for Darryl Darby an awful lot. Perhaps you
Follow on NovᴇlEnglish.nᴇttwo have already done the deed in that cave? I am shocked. The White Tiger King's daughter, giving herself so easily."
Grunt's eyes traveled up and down Leia's figure as he spoke.
He had to admit that Leia was beautiful; her face and figure were perfect.
What a shame it was to have wasted it on Darryl.
Leia bristled in shame and rage at his words, her jaw quivering. Before she could stop
herself, she retched and spat on Grunt's face. "You shameless animal! How dare you taint
my purity that way."
"You're looking for death!"
Grunt wiped the spit on his face viciously, his face twisting with outrage. He cried out,
landing yet another slap!
Grunt had used almost all his force in the slap. Leia's legs wobbled with a dull hum; she
almost fell onto the floor.
Grunt's features morphed into a horrific expression, his words growing uglier by the
second. "F*ck, did I say anything wrong? You c*nt! Why would you want to die with Darryl
if there was nothing between the two of you? One more word, and I'll slap your face clean
off, b*tch!" 1
Grunt practically screamed the last word.
Darryl's eyes were bloodshot. He turned to Grunt in outrage. "You motherf* cker, Grunt!
Take your anger out on me if you must. How dare you hit a lady! 0
As Darryl yelled, he looked at Leia's slightly swollen face. His heart ached as much as his
blood boiled.
As a Nine Heaven Sage, Darryl had been more than grateful to have received Leia's care.
It pained him infinitely when he saw such cruel abuse on her.
Grunt retracted his hand.
"Darryl Darby!”
Grunt turned to Darryl the next second, rounding in on him. "Shut up! You're nothing more
than a prisoner at my mercy right now. What right do you have to speak to me that way? I
dare you to say another word, and I'll kill her right now!"
Grunt raised his hand, pointing his golden spear at Leia's neck.
Darryl trembled with rage, but he held his tongue.
Follow on Novᴇl-Onlinᴇ.cᴏmHe could tell Grunt was not joking. He would really kill Leia if he spoke another word.
Grunt smirked at Darryl's silence. He turned, preparing to further torment Leia.
Suddenly, a strong aura came from outside the canyon.
Then, there was a roar. "Stop!"
Grunt retracted his hand immediately, turning his head at the source of the voice.
Darryl and Leia's hearts thudded as they turned in the direction of that voice!
The sight that greeted them made Darryl freeze while Leia trembled with surprise and delight.
They saw an army of thousands of Grand Tortoise troops soar through the air. They were in deep gray helmets, and they
wielded longswords. 2
A figure came bursting through the warriors at a remarkable speed!
It was Oliver.
Half an hour ago, after Oliver and Grunt had agreed on the details of the plan, Oliver had gone out of the canyon to wait for
news. However, he had not heard of anything from Grunt. He could no longer wait, so he moved with his men.
However, Oliver did not know that Leia had insulted Grunt, and the man had lost control over that. So, he had not been
able to send a signal to Oliver.
