Chapter 4038
The scene before them had rendered Master Magaera and the tens of thousands of soldiers speechless as they
felt chills down their spines.
The Sealed Fiend Mountain was covered in a thick blood-red fog.
Outside the fog, soldiers were plastered everywhere. Grunt was planning for their next attack with the rest of the
surviving soldiers a short distance away.
At first, Grunt and Darryl had led 20,000 soldiers to observe the Sealed Fiend Mountain. Upon arrival, they found
Archfiend Antigonus casting the blood formation. Earlier, when Darryl had found a way to break through the
blood formation, Grunt betrayed him during the most critical time.
After Grunt betrayed Darryl, he returned to report to the Nine Heaven Emperor. Under the order of the Nine
Heaven Emperor, he went back to the Sealed Fiend Mountain to observe its situation.
The Nine Heavens Emperor instructed Grunt not to do anything reckless before reporting the sightings.
However, Grunt could not wait any further as he desperately wanted to contribute to his name, when he got back
to the Sealed Fiend Mountain, he immediately formed a team of 20,000 soldiers to charge toward the Gate of

Even though Grunt hated Darryl's guts, he acknowledged that Darryl's skills and knowledge in formations were
out of the world. If he said the Gate of Life was the breaking point of the blood formation, then it must be it.
However, the thick fog surrounding the blood formation was incredibly poisonous, whoever
approached it would lose their sanity and start killing each other.
After a few attempts, he was left with only a few thousand soldiers.
"Honorable Master."
Grunt was delighted to see Master Magaera with tens of thousands of soldiers and
welcomed him with open arms.
Master Magaera scanned through his surroundings to see the amount of injured and dead
soldiers. His face darkened. "Grunt, what happened here?"
He could see the number of lifeless soldiers plastered around the blood fog. The few
thousands of surviving soldiers behind Grunt were heavily injured as well.
Grunt was ashamed. "Honorable Master, I've been trying to break through the blood
formation, so—"
Master Magaera cut him short. "Breaking the formation? Didn't I ask you not to do
anything reckless? Why didn't you listen?"
"Well-"
Cold sweat rained down on Grunt as he felt the rage seeping through Master Magaera.
"Before Prince Consort went in, he realized that the Gate of Life is the only breaking point
for the blood formation."
He spoke as he pointed toward the Gate of Life.
Grunt realized that he had made a grave mistake. He quickly shoved all the responsibility
onto Darryl since he was trapped inside the blood formation and had little chance to
survive.
There would be no proof if the person were too dead to say anything.
Upon hearing that, Master Magaera frowned as he waved dismissively. "Fine, just follow
my instructions from now on. Understood?" Master Magaera said as he glared at the Gate

'That's how you break the formation? It sure doesn't seem like it. Darryl must be spewing
nonsense, or else he would not end up trapped inside,' he thought.
Master Magaera was deep in contemplation when suddenly, an air of terrorizing aura swept through him. A
shadow dashed out from the bloody fog and ascended above the blood formation.
It was Archfiend Antigonus!
It was him!
Master Magaera and Grunt's face sank when they saw him.
Master Magaera's eyes were locked onto Archfiend Antigonus. Without a second of hesitation, he raised his hand
and said, "Kill Archfiend Antigonus, destroy the formation!"
"Stay away from the bloody fog!"
"Roger that, Honorable Master!"
Tens of thousands of the soldiers exclaimed in sync as they ascended and charged toward Archfiend Antigonus!
The sky darkened in an instance as the tens of thousands of soldiers exploded and released an air of terrifying
aura.
"Another bunch of annoying maggots." A beam of blood-red light shot through as Archfiend Antigonus slowly
peeled his eyes open. His face was filled with disdain.
