"Skylar, what happened? Why did Dax attack Rogart all of a sudden?" Debra asked, full of doubt.

She saw Dax had attacked Rogart, but she was too far and only saw Dax attacking.she did not know the details

that led up to the attack.

"Who knows? Maybe Dax was unhappy with him," Skylar replied nonchalantly as he grinned.

Debra had been with the Carter family for years. How could he have told her the truth? 1

He then looked up to the sky. "It’s getting late now. Let’s head back to get some rest."

Debra wanted to ask more questions, but she stopped after hearing what Skylar said. A

few minutes later, Skylar, Debra, and Kendall left the hill and returned to the small town to

rest. Debra went to bed as she was exhausted and Skylar went to see Kendall on his own.

"Sect Master, what happened back at the Heavenly Alliance altar? Why would Dax

suddenly attack Rogart? Could it be that you..." Kendall said, surprised in the room.

Before she could finish her sentence, Skylar grinned. "That’s right. I secretly put a Soul-

devouring Bloodworm in Dax’s body and controlled him using the bloodworms."

Kendall’s eyes brightened up and she exclaimed, "Sect Master, that's awesome! what an

interesting way to kill someone without getting your hands dirty."

Skylar chuckled and he said with a tinge of rage, "I thought I could take down both

theHeavenly Alliance and the Carter family at one go. Who would have thought the Nine

Saint Oracles would side with the Carter family and help them escape the Heavenly

Alliance’s attack? Darryl is a Nine Emperor Sage and his status is much higher than

Rogart’s. There’s no guarantee that they will reconcile the next day after tonight’s

episode."

'What? Darryl was the Nine Emperor Sage?' Kendall was stunned and froze.

After a few seconds, she came to her senses and said, "Sect Master, do you mean, you

want to ruin the relationship between Darryl and the Godly Region?"

Skylar nodded and scowled. "Yes. Once that happens, the Godly Region will be focused on

dealing with Darryl and won’t have time for me. Then, we’ll be able to enter the Ghost

Skylar’s face contorted in rage whenever he recalled Darryl had ruined his chances of

rescuing Archfiend Antigonus. 'D*mn it. I need to get rid of Darryl, the scourge.'

Kendall remained silent while she focused on thinking about countermeasures. A few moments later, she had an

idea and rushed to Skylar. "Sect Master, though Rogart was not murdered when Dax attacked him, he might have

gotten critically injured. If Rogart dies tonight and with the evidence of Darryl being present when the attack

happened, then Darryl won't have a second chance with the Godly Region."

Skylar’s eyes flashed. "You mean, we get rid of Rogart tonight and blame Darryl for it?"

"Yes!" Kendall nodded.

Skylar cheered up and laughed. "Great. That’s a good idea. Let’s do it."

Suddenly, he thought of something. "I’ll head to the Heavenly Alliance in a while. You stay here and keep an eye

on Debra. Don’t let her find out that I’ve left."

He knew that Debra still had feelings for Darryl even though she had left the Carter family, so he insisted on

keeping his plans from her.
