Chapter 3761
"Debra, let's take a break here!" Darryl cracked a slight smile and said to Debra.
Debra nodded and the three of them walked into the tavern and sat down by the window.
As soon as he sat down, Darryl was shocked as he felt a wave of murderous aura coming his way all of a sudden!
He looked around subconsciously and saw dozens of sect disciples approaching him with swords in their hands.
They surrounded the tavern immediately.
The disciples wore dark green robes embroidered with a curled-up serpent logo on their chests. They were the
Five Poison Sect disciples from the Westrington Continent. Their leader was a woman that was also in a dark
green dress. Her exquisite features were seductive and charming. Her name was Kendall Jones and she was the
current Five Poison Sect Master.
Kendall's eyes locked onto Darryl and her gaze was filled with resentment. "Darryl, you killed my sister. I'll kill
you today to avenge her."
Follow on NovᴇlEnglish.nᴇtKendall was Lindsay's younger sister. A few years ago, Lindsay was forced to surrender to Darryl and had taken
the Heaven Cult Elixir. Since then, Lindsay had been working for Darryl, and at the same time, she would visit the
Carter family every other year for her antidote.
Two years ago, Lindsay was captured by her enemies, and she failed to get to the Carter
family in time for her antidote. As a result, the poison killed her.
Kendall was heartbroken that her sister died tragically, and she placed all the blame on
Darryl and the Carter family. At the Heavenly Alliance banquet earlier, Kendall saw Darryl
had attended, she wanted to kill him immediately, but she restrained herself because she
was afraid of the powerful Heavenly Alliance. How would she let Darryl go after bumping
into him again at the tavern on a barren mountain?
'Sister?' Darryl sensed Kendall's thick resentment and was puzzled.
"Hey, beautiful. Who are you?" he asked.
Before Lindsay passed away, Kendall spent her time cultivating in the Five Poison Sect,
and she had rarely been around the world of cultivators, so Darryl did not know her.
Kendall's beautiful face was filled with hatred as she enunciated, " Darryl, don't you
pretend to be confused. Back then, you forced my sister take the Heaven Cult Elixir. Two
years ago, she was poisoned and died. Are you trying to say that her death has nothing to
do with you?"
Darryl was stunned to hear the news. He realized that Kendall was Lindsay's younger
sister. At the same time, he was shocked to discover Lindsay had died.
'That's not right. After Lindsay took the Heaven Cult Elixir, I left some antidotes in the
Carter family and told her to go get it every other year. Under such circumstances, how
could she be poisoned to death?' he thought as he tilted his head to look at Debra.
"Debra, did you guys not give the antidote to Lindsay?" he said.
Follow on Novᴇl-Onlinᴇ.cᴏmDebra responded gently, "Every time Lindsay visited US, we gave her the antidote."
Darryl frowned and looked at Kendall. "This is weird. Every year, your sister received the antidote. How could she
have died from the poison?"
"Two years ago, my elder sister was caught by her enemies and she missed the time to collect her antidote and
that resulted in her death! Darryl, had you not given her the Heaven Cult Elixir, she would not have died. An eye
for an eye. You'll have to die to avenge her." Kendall replied bitterly through her gritted teeth.
'F*ck!' Darryl finally understood what was going on.
"If this is the case, that's your sister's miserable fate and God's will. It has nothing to do with me!" he replied with
a wry smile.
He felt a little regret when he learned of Lindsay's fate, but he was not too upset when he was reminded of what
she had done. In the past, Lindsay helped Donoghue gain control of Yvonne and instructed her to kill Darryl.
Darryl would have killed Lindsay a long time ago for what she had done. He was merciful to have let her live a
few more years.
Darryl was not bothered to engage in inconsequential talk after that. He signaled to Debra and Jewel and
prepared to leave the tavern.
