intended to bid for the jade. He was just trying to raise the price. After his goal was

Everyone was scoffing when they looked at Darryl as if they had seen someone who was
being taken advantage of.
"Everyone!"
The man presiding over the auction shouted excitedly on the stage. "That gentleman bids
10,000 gold coins. Is there anyone else with a higher price?"
Then, the crowd booed. They were getting impatient.
"Okay, let's hit the hammer quickly!"

Darryl stared at Jordan quietly and said flatly, "Thank you for your kindness. I don't
need your money!"
Jordan sneered at him and stopped talking.
Then, the anxious Lolita asked, "Darryl, where would you get the 10,000 gold coins?"
