After returning to the residential area, | went to the kitchen to prepare the medicine.
Munchkin began crying not long after he got home. | knew he was hungry so | quickly made him infant formula.
When the milk had cooled, | fed it to him but he did not drink much and started crying after taking only a few
mouthfuls.
Jerwas usually the one who took care of him, so Xander and | had no idea what was wrong with him. Afraid
that he might be sick, we were just about to take him to the hospital when Jercalled me.

In fact, | hated the taste of barley the most, not to mention a lactation tea with barley in it. However, | had to
drink it for the sake of the child so he would have breast milk to drink.
| took the cup from him and took a deep breath before downing the contents.
The bitterness that permeated my mouth causedt o scrunch up my face. Xander stuffed a piece of candy
into my mouth with a smile. "Don't drink it anymore."
| shook my head resolutely.
How could a mother refuse to drink lactation tea?
Unsure if it was because of the tea | drank, | felt drowsy after lunch. It was particularly serious. Xander said he
would be around to check on the child and toldto go back to my room to sleep.
| slept until Jerchfrom work. He and Xander planned to go to the supermarket to do sgrocery
shopping and take Munchkin out for a walk while they were at it. They invitedalong but | did not go because
| planned to stay at hto clean up the house.
Jerhad to go to work every day, whereas Xander needed to stay at hto take care of the child. There was
simply no tto clean the house. There were many children's items lying around, so although the house was
not that messy that it was horrible to look a t, it was tto tidy it up.
When | was halfway cleaning up the house, | received Theo's call.
I had no plans of answering it at first, but when | thought of how he would keep calling if | refused to answer, |
still answered it in the end. "What's wrong?"
"We need to talk," he said, his tone a little deep and low. "I’m downstairs. You can cdown now."
He was downstairs?
| was stunned. "How did you find this place?"

| pursed my lips and fell silent.
"Ldownstairs." His tone was a commanding one this time.
| pulled at my hair with a face full of irritation. After hanging up the phone, | went to my room to change my
clothes before going downstairs.
| wore many layers of clothes because it was cold at night. When | went downstairs, | saw Theo wearing only a
sweater while leaning against the car. | shivered. "Why are you standing out here with so few layers of clothes?"
Theo tossed away the cigarette he only smoked halfway and lifted his foot to put it out. "Go back to Regal Villa
with me."
| shook my head. "It's not tforto go back yet."
Apart from missing Nimue, Theo and | would only have endless arguments if | went back. Anyone who put
themselves in my shoes would not want to go back with him.
