Amelie was bewildered, but she didn’t ask directly. She walked in front of him with at gentle smile.

“OK. I’m all ears.”

“I wonder if you have the time to audition for the leading female character in my TV

show?”

“Leading female character?”

Amelie was dumbfounded and thought she had heard it wrong.

“You’re right, the leading female character. I think you’re perfect for it. Of course, you have to audition first. It’s not

easy to get the part. So if you don’t mind, I hope you can

give it a try.”

Mr. Smith tried to persuade her.

The questions were churning inside Amelie’s head.

“Don’t overthink it, Amelie. Let’s get in the car first.’

Belen’s voice pulled Amelie from her thoughts.

They got into the car quickly.
