Everyone keeps talking about their plans and their plans to make news plans but I don't see anything happening. I'm still locked up in this God forsaken cell and everyone out there still thinks I'm a cold blooded murderer.
"Tess." I call, shaking my head. "I don't know how to feel or what to say after hearing all that you just said. One thing for sure is that this is a very complicated mess and the only thing I want now, is to leave this pack." A ridge forms between her brows as she creases them.
"Leave?" She asks, looking baffled. "What do you mean leave? Why do you want to leave?" "Can't you see? Everything has turned up-side-down!" "Ashanti, I know things look a little difficult right now..." "A little difficult?" I cut her off, loudly. "You call this situation I find myself in a little difficult?" She lets out a tired sigh.

Alina locked up in jail? Alina put to death? It's an impossible thing to hope for. A funny thing to say out loud because with her influence and powerful background, there's no way any of that will happen.
"I don't believe that's how this is going to end, Tess. Apart from the fact that Alina comes from a powerful family that's not going to stand by and watch their daughter experience such a thing, the subjects and the Elders and everyone else won't be satisfied with it either. They want Alina to be their Alpha's bride. They have chosen her to be their Luna. Also, lately, I've been scared of Reagan. He's been acting really strange and I don't like the way he has been treating me. I don't like him anymore and I'm not ready to face him again, not to talk of being in any sort of relationship with him. I just found out where my mom resides and after all of this is over, that's if all of this ever gets over in the first place, I just want to leave this pack and go have a simple life with her. I'm tired." Tessa goes mute after I'm done telling her what has been on my mind for snow. She stares blankly at me. Sighs in frustration. Looks away fromand sighs yet again before plastering her gaze onagain. There's a softer look in her eyes this taround.
"I'm going to talk to the girls. Rhea, Nelly... all of them." She changes the topic and I don't try to berate her for it. I just stay quiet and listen with very little interest. "I'm going to try to get something out of them. I promise." I wish I could share her optimism on this matter. I wish I was as ignorant as she was about Alina's power and influence so I could be just as hopeful as she is.
"Okay." I agree lifelessly.
"And also, I'm going to pretend I didn't hear all what you just said about wanting to leave. You are fated to the Lycan King. You are to be his wife and the Luna of this pack. Your place is here, by his side, not anywhere else. You belong here!" She firmly states, but there's no reaction from me. I just stare at her blankly until she nods her head. "That said and understood..." She looks left and right as if she is worried about something. "I have to go now. No one knows I was here and no one can know. The elders don't want any of us coming here to see you. Kyle had to pull a few strings to makechere. I have to go now before your Warden returns." Even though the last part of our conversation did nothing but enrage me, sadness fills my heart upon hearing her say that.
I hate that she has to leave.
I'd rather she stay and we argue about what I want versus what was planned forby the Moon goddess than be in here alone.
But she has to go.
I sigh heavily and swallow dryly.

"Alright then. You should go now so you don't get into trouble." Cforce a smile.
"Yes." I almost lose it when she kisses my go of them. hands and let ye "Stay strong, okay?" "Okay." I'm nodding vigorously. It's raining tears on my face.
"I'll see you soon." She walks away.
I fall back against the wall and crumble to the floor.
