Chapter 2287

To put it more bluntly, the moment Ivy returned to the cast, everything would be set straight.

After all, their current lifeline was the support from the one and only Balfour behind the

scenes.

Margot’s jaw dropped after hearing Thalia’s breakdown of the situation.

“Are you for real? Ivy’s that influential? Then hitching my wagon to her is like hitting the jackpot!”

When she became chums with Ivy, she knew Balfour was in the picture but did not give it much

thought. They looked like a match made in Hollywood heaven, after all.

“But why do I feel Ivy isn’t the type to ride Balfour’s coattails? Remember when we dropped by to see

her? The second he heard we wanted to speak with Ivy, he hurried off, leaving us room to chat. I think

he really respects her.”

Thalia nodded. “Looks like those eyes of yours aren’t just for show, huh? I mean, sure, Balfour’s a big

shot, but that doesn’t mean there’s anything sleazy between them.”

“Please, you made it sound so cloak and dagger. I thought you were hinting that Balfour was keeping

Ivy as his sugar baby or something.”

Margot was nonchalant, but Thalia tapped her on the head with her fork. “Keep it down, will ya? If

Balfour hears this, who knows what he’d do to us! He’s sweet on Ivy, but that doesn’t necessarily

extend to us!”

They were only even on Balfour’s radar because of Ivy.

Without her, he would not give them the time of day and probably would not even glance their way

twice.

To Balfour, they were about as significant as ants by the roadside.

The nature of Balfour and Ivy’s relationship was a real head-scratcher for Thalia, no matter how long

she mulled it over.

One thing was crystal clear, though-there was definitely love there.

And as long as that was the case, Ivy was in a league of her own compared to them.

“Since you’ve laid it all out, maybe I should just ring Ivy up, tell her to recover soon, and come back

pronto.”

Margot’s face lit up like she had struck gold with the idea.

Thalia was gobsmacked by her train of thought. “Balfour’s got Ivy cooped up in that hospital to make

sure she fully recovers. And here you are, egging her on to come back

early. You’re practically asking for a showdown with Balfour! Keep going without a clue, and you won’t

even see what hit you.”

Margot looked a little hurt. “But Ivy said she’s bored stiff in that hospital bed.

I just want her to get back to doing what she loves, you know? Lying around all day can make you sick,

too.”

“Oh, give me a break. You might look like you have Ivy’s best interests at heart, but did you ever stop to

think that she’s really taken a hit after what happened? Just don’t bring up any of this ‘hurry back’

nonsense with her, alright?”

Determined to make sure they both had a future with the Colton cast, Thalia decided to stick to Margot

like glue over the next few days, keeping her on her toes and away from sending Ivy any more

harebrained messages.

Meanwhile, Ivy felt like she was about to grow mold from lying in that hospital bed for so long.

Balfour did everything by her side in the hospital. these past few days, even bunking down for the night

on the adjacent cot.

Sometimes, they would even push their beds together, making it feel just like home, where a simple

turn of the head meant seeing each other’s faces.
