Chapter 1476

Only when Ellinor’s silhouette vanished back into her private room did the man retract his gaze.

After looking down at the child beside him, who bore a striking resemblance to himself, he noticed that the little guy

seemed terrified. It was like he was afraid of being found by the woman who had just left.

The man’s large hand gently tousled Adrian’s hair. “Let’s go, kid. We should head in.”

Adrian snapped back to reality and followed the man into the suite..

Ellinor had only just left. When the man and the child entered, Sophia became worried.

Did he see Ellinor?

“Marcus, where have you and Tristan been all this time?”

The smile on Sophia’s face seemed a bit forced.

Marcus appeared indifferent, as always. “Tristan had a bit of a stomachache, so I was waiting for him. Who just

came in?”

His question was so casual, as if he were just asking about a stranger he had seen, with no sign of anything unusual.

“Just a careless woman who walked into the wrong suite.” Sophia feigned nonchalance, staring intently at the man’s

face with eyes full of caution.

He really did see Ellinor.

But it seemed like he had no particular reaction to that woman.

The man responded without further comment, seeming uninterested in it all.

Sophia was not reassured and probed. “Marcus, did you think that woman was pretty? She saw you, didn’t she?”

Marcus looked uninterested. “No. I just saw a woman’s back leaving the room. Was she pretty? How pretty?”

Sophia couldn’t detect any hint of anything wrong on the man’s face, and she felt a little relieved.

She thought Ellinor must have walked in the opposite direction from Marcus after she left, so she probably didn’t

see him.

Otherwise, with Ellinor’s personality, she would have stopped Marcus right there and asked if he was Theo.

The more she thought about it, the more terrified she became. She had only come back to handle some assets.

She was aiming for a quick resolution. She didn’t want any more trouble.

After the auction ended, Ellinor would probably come looking for her, and it would be bad if Ellinor saw Marcus then.

Sophia felt the need to leave soon, so she laughed and said, “Marcus, we’ve successfully auctioned off the land at a

price that my father is happy with. There’s nothing else to do here, so there’s no point in staying. Let’s go.”

The man expressed no objection and simply nodded his head.

Sophia got ready to leave and went over to pick up Tristan.

“Tristan, let’s go. We’re heading back to the hotel.”

However, she was rejected by ‘Tristan’ and pushed away.

Adrian didn’t like Sophia, so he didn’t want her to carry him.

“I can walk by myself. I don’t need to be carried.”

Sophia frowned. What was going on with this child? Why was he so moody all of a sudden?

Didn’t he just realize his mistake and want to apologize to her a few moments ago?

Now he seemed untouchable.

Never mind. Now was not the time to worry about these things. She needed to leave with Marcus and Tristan before

Ellinor found out.

“Fine! Tristan will walk by himself, and Mommy will go push Daddy.”

Sophia turned to the man to help him with his wheelchair.

Marcus showed no particular expression, but neither did he reject Sophia’s help. As always, he was neither pleased

nor upset, neither cold nor passionate.

Adrian mumbled under his breath. “My mommy is definitely not you.”
