Theo snorted. “If Ms. Mendoza is so generous, why not host with your own money?”
Elinor retorted sarcastically. “My money should be spent on things that matter to me, not on feeding
strangers! Plus, since you’re claiming me, you want me to pay you too?” As soon as the words left her
