Marcus remained silent. Sure, he could reach out to the little lady, but he was in no mood for that now.

He had seen the messages that Ellinor sent him. But, because she only asked where they were and didn’t explain

why she was sightseeing with Bartlett, he chose not to reply.

Tristan urged him. “Dad, hurry up! If you don’t call her now, Sophia will be back, and you won’t get a chance to talk

to Ellinor!”

With that thought, Marcus finally took the phone. After a few moments, he sent a video call to Ellinor using

encrypted software.

The call rang for a while before it was finally picked up.

The screen and sound on the other side were chaotic.

After the phone was steadied, the camera finally landed on Ellinor’s face.

Ellinor looked at the stern face on the screen and raised her eyebrows. “Finally decided to reply, huh?”

Marcus stared at her coldly. “Where are you? Why haven’t you returned home yet?”

So, she was still out with Bartlett? They seem to get along quite well. Did they have a lot to talk about?

Ellinor panned her phone around to show him the busy surroundings and the parade of mascots.

“We’re out! Can you see? Guess where we are?”

Marcus’ expression grew darker. “You’re at the amusement park together?”

He clenched his fists in anger. Damn it! Even he had never taken her to an amusement park before!

Ellinor nodded. “Yes! Today was a special day, so I took them to the amusement park. We plan to stay until

nighttime to watch the fireworks show. They’ve never seen it before.”

So, they had plans to watch the fireworks show together?

How romantic was that? She was his woman. Why did she have to watch the fireworks show with another man?!

Marcus’ face was expressionless, but inside he was seething.

Upon hearing this, Tristan jumped onto the bed and stared at the phone. “Ellinor, I’ve never seen the fireworks

show either. I wish I could be there with you guys!”

time, when you and your dad come back, Mom will take you guys here again. Then you can see the grandest

fireworks show ever! Can I promise you that? Now, be a good boy and listen to your dad, okay?”
