The Ex-Husband’s Revenge By Dragonsky Chapter 99

Jenson smiled, looked at the ton his watch, and said, “It's almost four, Mister

Wolf. Might as well stay here and avoid the trouble of having to go back. | was thinking about giving my

grandfather a call right now and we can head straight to the hotel for an early dinner? Would that be alright with

you?”

“Sure...” Leon nodded, but he hesitated slightly when he looked at Ariel beside him.

Jenson quickly understood what Leon meant and invited Ariel with a smile. “Miss Summers, since you're a friend

of Mister Wolf, would you care to join us if it’s convenient for you?”

“Thanks for the invitation.” Ariel knew that she was only invited over because of Leon. Her curiosity over his

relationship with the Wicks prompted her to agree to Jenson’s invitation after sthought.

Inside one of the luxurious and exquisite VIP rooms at The Sovereign Hotel, Bernard

and Jenson sat with Leon and Ariel at the table.

Under Bernard's directions, the waiters began to serve the wine and food, all of

which were the finest and rarest of delicacies.

“Thank you so much for savingthe other day. | offer you this toast as a show of my gratitude.” Bernard was

all smiles as he raised his wine glass to Leon.

“You're being too polite, Elder Wick. It wasn’t very difficult on my part, so please don’t take it too seriously,” Leon

said immediately. He picked up the wine glass, clinked glasses with Bernard, and then drank the whole glass in

one go.

Ariel looked at Bernard, then at Leon, and had a strange expression on her face.

She initially thought that Leon had ssort of ties with Jenson, perhaps as a distant relative of the Wicks, or

due to slong ancestral friendship between both

their families’ ancestors.

However, Leon addressed Jenson by his first name, but Bernard addressed Leon with a rather respectful, Mister

Wolf.

Ariel had no idea what was going on, and whatever relationship they had was a complete mess!

Ariel was stunned. She glanced at Leon from tto time, feeling that it was becoming more and more difficult

to grasp the concept of Leon as a person. There

were several times when she could not help her urge to ask Leon what went on.

After considering that it was not a very appropriate occasion to ask something like that, she finally decided not

to ask.

Leon did not overthink like Ariel did and simply conversed in his way with Bernard and Jenson without feeling

awkward.

Meanwhile, Bernard could only have no more than one or two drinks to show his - sincerity because he just

recovered, so he instructed Jenson to entertain Leon and Ariel properly on his behalf.

Since Ariel was a woman and she had to drive, she toasted them with tea rather than

wine.

Leon did not have such concerns, so he drank away with Jenson. The two of them seemed to have grown closer,

almost as if they were friends with whom they could let loose over several drinks.

After having several sounds of wine and finishing almost all the food, the banquet was almost nearing its end.

Bernard took the initiative and asked, “Mister Wolf, regarding the cooperation between the Elegante Group and

our Wick Group, may | ask if you already have a contract ready?”

“It’s right here.” Leon took out the two contracts that Lily printed and handed them over to Bernard.

Bernard knew to separate personal matters from professional business matters, so he read the contract carefully

and concluded that the Elegante Group offered a relatively low price for the Wick Group to show their sincerity in

securing their cooperation.

“I've already read the contract, Mister Wolf. As far as | can see, there's no issue at all. However, I'd like to discuss

the price a little...” Bernard frowned and kept them in

suspense.

“Is it too high?” Leon’s heart skipped a beat. He did not know anything about how companies conducted

business and put prices on their products, so he was unsure if the price he put was too high or too low.
