“I don’t need your help! I won’t accept this marriage no matter what. You should all just give up!” Iris said despite

the sorrow taking over her, before turning to leave.

“Iris, don’t you dare walk away from me!” Slightly embarrassed, Gilbert called out for her to stop, but Iris ignored

him and left the room.

“Gilbert, this is your own family matter, so we won’t interfere. However, you should know that forming an alliance

with the Lowes will only benefit us, so we hope that you will try your best to convince Iris into accepting this.”

“Also, we meant what we said. If you manage to resolve this crisis, we’ll all support you to be the leader.

The elders said.

“Elders, please rest assured. I’ll try my best!” Gilbert nodded in excitement.

The position as the leader was right before his eyes and he was not going to let such a great opportunity slip by.

“It’s simple. You can represent the Youngs to accept the proposal by the Northern King and once they help

us through the crisis, you will take over as the leader of the Youngs! If Iris still doesn’t want to marry Jacob by then,

you can just find an excuse then to reject the Lowes,” Daisy said.

“That’s a great idea!” Gilbert clapped his hands in excitement.

Daisy meant that he could pretend the accept the marriage proposal and use Harold to get past the current crisis,

before discarding the Lowes once he became the leader of the Youngs.
