was trying to get Leon to attack first to gauge his power.
"I’d like you to go first so that you might have a fighting chance!" Leon scoffed, putting on a demeanor even more
contemptuous than Rodney's.
"Very well then! You asked for this, and since you have a death wish, I'll gladly fulfill you!" Rodney snickered, utterly
outraged by how cocky Leon was behaving. Then, without a moment's hesitation, he unleashed a surge of power
and sent it barreling Leon's way!
However, since he was just trying to lure Leon into retaliating, he did not put much force into his first attack and did

Leon and make him reveal the true extent of his capabilities.
"Take this!" Leon scoffed as he stepped forward, unleashing a few attacks of retaliation that easily took Rodney on!
Now that he already attained the Initial Golden Core Phase in his sage arts training, this made him on par with the
Intermediate Emperor State, and combined with the Mirror of Sovereign, he was able to establish a defense against
attacks of even the Semi-Almighty State!
In conclusion, with his power and defense, he could have easily defeated Rodney right then and there, but that was
not his intention at all!
Rodney cheated during his duel against Roanne with his secret weapon, and both he and the Southern Boss
managed to pin all the blame onto Cynthion Group. Since Cynthion Group was yet to find a way to prove their
innocence, Leon was determined to find a way to trick Rodney into revealing his secret weapon so that he could
expose him in front of everyone!
Not only would doing so be able to prove Cynthion Group's innocence, but he would be able to avenge Roanne's
defeat as well!

With that, Leon and Rodney continued to engage in an intense battle spanning almost dozens of attacks and
counter-attacks!
"I can't believe that President Wolf managed to hold up so well against Mister Spears!"
"Could he have possibly attained the Emperor State as well?"
The audience was stunned by this sight. From what they knew, Yuri and Rodney were the only two youngsters who
successfully attained the Emperor State at this point, and the rest of the descendants of major families, including
Darius and Joel, were only at the Semi Emperor State at most!

They could not believe that a man with nothing under his name like Leon managed to also attain the Emperor

Apart from Roanne, whose true extent of power was yet to be determined, Leon would officially become the third
member of the young generation in the Southern region to accomplish such a feat!
What was most astounding was the fact that Leon was even younger than Yuri or Rodney by at least three or four
years!
With this in mind, it was safe to say that Leon was a far more talented martial artist than either of them, and this
was a shocking revelation, to say the least!
The audience was not the only ones stunned by this realization; even Angus and Yuri's jaws dropped.
They all initially thought that Leon would be no match for Rodney at all, so it was beyond their wildest dreams to
see Leon holding up against Rodney so well!
It was at this moment that they finally understood why Leon was so adamant to accept Rodney's challenge; it
turned out that Leon was truly capable of taking up this challenge after all!
However, Rodney still had a secret weapon with him, and they were not too certain whether Leon could not put up
a good fight should Rodney choose to unleash its powers!
