Chapter 841
The security guard was stunned upon hearing that. Then, he noticed the broken shards of the flowerpot and the dirt
on the ground.
Thus, he hurriedly relinquished his grip. Rosalie had her bodyguard examine Zachary’s wrist.
After a careful examination, the bodyguards reported to Rosalie, “This man’s wrist is broken, Mrs. Youngblood.”
“Take him to the hospital,” Rosalie ordered.
“Right away,” he replied.
Rosalie’s phone rang at that moment. She answered it, and her
expression suddenly changed upon hearing what the caller said. “I see. All right, thank you.”
After hanging up, Rosalie did not enter the building but headed for the courthouse instead.
Her bodyguard, on the other hand, sent Zachary to the hospital. After Rosalie emerged from court, she received a
call from her bodyguard, telling her that Zachary had seen a doctor and was reportedly suffering only a mild injury,
which would take about a month to recover.
“Very well. Give him the compensation he deserves. If he has any other requirements, tell me ahead of time,”
Rosalie instructed..
Then, Rosalie called Connor. “I’m sorry, Mr. Smuckler, but there might be some trouble to come.”
“I know. That fellow, Yoel, filed a lawsuit, didn’t he? No big deal. Let the public prosecutor’s office investigate it. Our
conscience for this case is clear. The gossip, meanwhile, doesn’t matter because I’m an old man. My wife, too,
knows you well enough, and she won’t overthink it. You and your husband, though…”

Connor was pleased. “That’s good.”
Jonathan did not come home for dinner that night. “Mr. Youngblood will be coming home late today,” Gary
announced. “Please have your dinner first, Guillermo, Ms. Youngblood, and Mrs. Youngblood.”
“Very well.” Rosalie was used to him skipping dinner for work. She

ordered the servant to keep Jonathan’s portion warm before beginning to eat with the children.
In the meantime, Jonathan was glaring condescendingly at the honest-looking woman before him.
If she had not admitted to it, he would not have thought that she was the one who dropped the flowerpot off the
20th floor earlier that day.
This woman was a cleaner of the building. Honest, meek, and diligent in her daily tasks, he could scarcely believe
she had done such a thing.
“So, you don’t know who had you drop the flowerpot, do you?” Jonathan asked coldly.
The cleaner was blindfolded at the moment. She was unaware that the man standing before her was Jonathan, the
worst possible person in Strico one could provoke.
“Yes, yes. I-I don’t know. I just received a printed note, instructing me to drop the flowerpot on the woman at the
appointed time. Together with the note, there was a 20,000 dollar deposit. There would be another 20,000 upon
completing the job.”
The cleaner was stammering. Scared to death, she was cursing the impulse that compelled her to accept the job.
She thought that there were no surveillance cameras that high up in the building. As long as the flowerpot met its
mark, she would be 40,000 dollars richer-enough for her to build a house in her village.
She did not even stop to consider what would happen to the person it hit. Unexpectedly, somebody had brought her
here before the stack of bills had even grown warm in her hands. At that moment, her hands that had once
dropped the flowerpot were already stained with blood.
Jonathan’s eyes darkened. “I don’t want her hands to do anything like that ever again. After you’re done, hand her
over to the police,” he ordered his subordinates coldly.
“Yes, sir,” his men answered.
The cleaner panicked. “Are they going to break my hands?” she wondered. At that moment, she would rather be
handed over to the police.
Please spare me. I won’t do it again. I-I’ll surrender myself to the police…” No matter how she pleaded, however,
Jonathan’s expression remained frigid.

“This woman should be grateful that Rosalie didn’t get hurt today,” he thought grimly. “Otherwise, a thousand
deaths wouldn’t be enough for her, much less losing her hands!”
Ignoring the woman’s pleas, Jonathan left. Carlos scrambled to catch up. After they entered the car parked outside,
Carlos handed Jonathan a file. “This is what Zachary has been up to for the past few years. Now a courier, he had
coincidentally come to your wife’s rescue today and had his wrist broken because of it. Mrs. Youngblood had
somebody send him to the hospital for treatment.”
Jonathan looked through the documents in his hand, and the atmosphere inside the car seemed to compress.
“What a coincidence,” Jonathan said suddenly, his voice ringing in the car. “Y-Yes, what a coincidence.” Carlos’

A thought suddenly occurred to him. “Could Mr. Youngblood… be jealous that Zachary saved Rosalie?”
“Is there any surveillance footage of the spot?” Jonathan asked.
“Yes.” Carlos hurriedly took out his phone, selected a video intercepted by his men, and played it for his employer.
In the video, Zachary ran up from behind and wrapped his arms around Rosalie, tackling her to the ground.
After a while, they stood up again and had a conversation.
Jonathan’s eyes grew dimmer than ever. Even after the video ended, his gaze lingered on the screen, as if he was
thinking hard about something. Thus, Carlos was forced to continue holding the phone after the video had finished
playing. He took a careful glance at his employer, wondering if Jonathan was actually jealous.
Just as Carlos was contemplating if he should say something, that nothing was going on between Rosalie and
Zachary, Jonathan’s cold voice sounded once more.
“Do you think Rosalie is feeling sorry for Zachary?”
“Hm?” Carlos was stunned. “Feeling sorry?”
He stared at Carlos nonchalantly. “People are sympathetic creatures, aren’t they? Zachary was once her boyfriend,
after all. Do you think she feels sorry for him?”

Carlos felt a sudden chill down his spine. He sensed that Zachary would wind up with a tragic fate if he answered
yes.
That was proof enough for him that Jonathan was indeed jealous.
“Well… I don’t think so,” Carlos said cautiously. “After all, Mrs.
Youngblood didn’t ask you to show the Xanthos family and the Hamilton
family mercy when you decided to strike.”
