As she slightly moved, the cabin swayed a bit which frightened her to the point where she held onto his jacket unconsciously.
Leopold's long fingers stroked her back, his voice as soft as a gentle evening breeze.
“I'm here, so you have nothing to fear.” But his words were like a knife in her heart, causing a dull ache. He was no longer by her side, and he had left her, abandoned her.
