Chapter 370 Aurelia pulled her hand back and reached for an orange, starting to peel it.

Leopold took the orange from her, easily peeled it in a few swift moves, and fed her a slice.

Only she had the power to influence his moods, to sway his likes and dislikes, and to make him lose control.

“You need to remember that you're my wife.” “I remember that,” Aurelia smirked, thinking inside, “he didn’t truly love me, and it was just his overpowering possessiveness acting up.” But she was a principled and moral person. As long as Leopold didn’t betray or hurt her, or disappoint her, she wouldn't overstep any boundaries. She never thought about getting back with Arnold. She just wanted to take care of him as a friend and family member, to repay the kindness he had shown her.

The next day, Aurelia made a pot of tomato bisque.

Arnold lay in his hospital bed, eagerly awaiting her arrival. His eyes would only light up. and his mood would only improve when he saw Aurelia.

Just as he finished the bisque, Magnolia arrived.

Arnolds face immediately darkened, and he snapped, “Get out, | don’t want to see you.” Magnolia whimpered and started to cry, “Arnold, I'm your mother. | carried you for nine months, and you're more important to me than my own life!” Arnold felt the irony deeply, “My mother is dead in my heart, and you're not my mother!” He called for the security guard outside and had Magnolia thrown out.

Aurelia didn’t know what to say. She just stood silently by the side.

She guessed that Lisa's scheming against Arnold probably had something to do with Magnolia, otherwise, he wouldn't be so agitated.

When Aurelia left the hospital room, Magnolia followed her. She hadn't left, she had been waiting for Aurelia.

“I don’t want you getting too close to Arnold. You're only going to ruin his relationship with Lisa. Lisa is Arnold's wife, my daughter-in-law.” Aurelia’s expression was indifferent. Even though it was their first meeting, she didn't have a good impression of Magnolia.

Chapter 300 “If you truly love Amold, then please stop hurting him. He's a thoughtful and independent person, and no one can control his life, not even you, his mother!” Aurelia retorted.

Magnolia’s lips trembled, “How | get along with Arnold is our family business, and it's not your place to interfere.” Aurelia looked at her quietly, her expression suddenly becoming very serious, “Don’t forget, i am the matriarch of the Stirling family, so | have the right to intervene in matters that concern the family. If you and Lisa continue to behave badly, | will enforce family discipline!” “Don't you dare!” Magnolia glared at her fiercely.

When Chad was alive, no one in the Stirling family dared to disrespect her, not even Jessica dared to enforce family discipline on her.

Aurelia’s gaze turned cold. “There's nothing | wouldn't dare.” Did Magnolia think Aurelia couldn't see through her little schemes? The reason she went to great lengths to get Arnold and Lisa married was to use the power of the Desan family to usurp control.

She probably had accomplices, perhaps even the one who had tried to assassinate Leopold.

Magnolia’s face turned pale, then flushed. She hadn't expected Aurelia to challenge her.

“Whether you can secure your position as matriarch of the Stirling family is still an open question. Who knows how many people are eyeing that position? Maybe one day you'll meet a gruesome end.” Magnolia said viciously.

Aurelia snorted. She was well aware of her own situation. She knew the dangers that lurked, but she wasn't a pushover.

“You needn’t worry about me. The one who will end up dead won't be me.”
