Aurelia said with a soft smile, "When | was pregnant, | kept dreaming about a child who had crawled up next to me, flashed that dimpled grin, and toldhe was back. | just know it was Liam, our little angel. He never left, you see. He's cback to us, right here in my belly." Leopold darkened his expression, a storm brewing behind his eyes. "Are you fabricating these fairy tales to manipulateinto being kinder to William? Is that it?" Aurelia took a delicate bite of her cake, letting the richness of the cocoa melt on her tongue before responding. "You might not believe it, but that's how | feel. Why else would | have cto terms with losing Liam? It's because he's returned my heart. William is Liam's reincarnation." He tightened his grip on his glass, the milk inside rippling with tension. After a long silence, he took a sip and said, "Liam wouldn't just becArnold's son." A sigh escaped Aurelia. His Liam did end up with Arnold, and he didn’t want to acknowledge Leopold.
"Maybe it's his way of spitting you. After all, you couldn't protect him. He was snatched away by evildoers the moment he entered this world. Can you blhim for harboring sresentment?" His heart ached, the wound deep and unhealed. A flicker of pain crossed his eyes as Aurelia's words struck home.
"So, the little William annoysnow and then because of sgrudge from a past life?" "Yep," Aurelia nodded, her head bobbing affirmatively.

Today's spread was a feast fit for kings: roast beef, lamb chops, and baked goose... all the kids' favorites.
"Tto eat!" Skyler announced, growling his stomach in anticipation.
"Skyler, could you passsof that baked goose leg? It's my absolute favorite," Mira said in her sweet and childlike voice.
"Coming right up!" Skyler served her a generous portion.
Jessica chuckled. "It's nice to have the house full of kids. They really bring life to this old place." William bit into a piece of tender roast beef, lighting his eyes up. "This beef is amazing. It's my favorite." Leopold glanced at him involuntarily. Despite his skepticism of Aurelia's claims, he couldn't help but feel influenced by them.
When he first met William, he had an uncanny sense of déja vu with Liam.

It seemed fine, perfectly snug.
"Uncle Leopold, do you want sroast beef?" Leopold snapped out of his reverie and reached for the serving fork, placing a slice onto William's plate. "If you like it, have smore." "Okay." William's voice was soft, sensing something unusual about Leopold today.
"Uncle Leopold, why are you being so nice totoday?" Leopold murmured, "Have | ever been unkind to you?" "Just the other day you scolded me," William pouted, making a face.
Leopold's gaze was firm. "You can be as mischievous as you want, but don't ever use Liam to get a rise out of me." "Why?" William tilted his head inquisitively.
Kane, sitting nearby, chimed in, "Because that's the saddest thing for Dad. He loved Liam a lot. Every birthday, he would get two cakes and two sets of presents. One forand one for Liam." William fell his gaze, a complex emotion flitting across his face.
"Okay, | won't mention it again." Aurelia reached out, stroking his hair gently. "William, Uncle Leopold and your dad are both wonderful fathers. Just give him a chance, and he'll treat you just as well as he does Kane."
