"Alaric is leagues ahead of you in the looks department, and don't you forget it," Kimberly declared.
Hertha bristled at the comment. "Mom, whose side are you on anyway?" "What do you mean 'whose side'? He's family, isn't he?" Kimberly retorted.

After a couple of days of rest, Thalassa's injuries had significantly improved. It was only when she called the police station that she found out Callum was being held on kidnapping charges, awaiting trial. That meant since his arrest, Callum had been in custody.
The thought of Callum facing trial stirred a mix of emotions in Thalassa. Callum had done wrong and deserved to face the consequences of his actions. Yet, the thought that she played a part in his downfall weighed heavily on her conscience. If Callum hadn't been so committed to fulfilling Leopold's last wish, he wouldn't have fixated on undermining Lysander. He could have remained the charming and elegant scion of the Gordon family, with a bright future ahead of him. But that was not to be. Kidnapping was a serious charge, and prison was inevitable. All Thalassa could hope for was that, upon his release, Callum would turn over a new leaf, let go of his grudges, and seek his own happiness.
Meanwhile, Thalassa had also inquired about Susan's case. Susan had been tried and convicted, having confessed to a litany of crimes. Given the severity of her offenses, Susan was sentenced to life imprisonment. This meant she would spend the rest of her days behind bars. Thalassa found ssotace in this outcome. Susan deserved to be locked away forever. She was inherently malicious, and incarceration meant she could no longer harm others. A woman who could abandon, exploit, and even endanger her own child for personal gain was devoid of conscience. Everything she did was for her own benefit. Life imprisonment was the most fitting punishment for her.
