The source of Thalassa's discomfort was the suspicion that Joshua was supporting Susan behind the scenes. Knowing full well that Susan had set her up, and yet helping her, felt like a slap in the face to O Thalassa.
Not long ago, Joshua had publicly acknowledged Thalassa as his daughter, defending her talents and clarifying her capabilities in jewelry design during a competition. And now, he seemed to be siding with no Susan, who had frequently sabotaged Thalassa. It was a bitter pill to swallow.
