She busted her chops trying to cure Grace’s illness. To make Grace happy, she was always on her best behavior

since she was a kid. Even if she sometimes felt that her mother was overprotective of Penelope, she just chalked it

up to Penelope being the Flanagan family’s daughter and her mom just being polite.

She hit the books hard, trying to avoid any conflicts with Penelope. In the Flanagan family, she bent over backwards

to do everything she could. But ironically, Grace was the one who screwed up her life!

She muttered under her breath, “Why? Why is Penelope always on her mind? Has she ever truly cared about me…”

Emma couldn’t quite catch what she said, and only heard the name “Penelope.” She was really worried about

Allison’s condition, so she whipped out her phone and hit up Patty, giving her the lowdown on what was happening.

Patty immediately asked, “Where are you guys? Take care of Allison, I’m on my way.”.

By the time Patty showed up, Allison was already hammered and leaning on Emma. Patty told Emma, “You can

head home now. I’ll take care of Allison.”

Emma nodded and went home, but she was a bit taken aback. Patty was known for not being a pushover and not

really giving a damn about her artists.

As the head agent at Epic Entertainment, Patty’s artists were the cream of the crop at Epic. And someone like

Allison, a newbie who just signed, wouldn’t normally get any special attention from Patty.

Emma called Patty because she was worried that Allison getting plastered at a bar could cause trouble for her

future career, so she wanted to pick Patty’s brain. Although Allison was a newcomer in the entertainment world,

she had just starred in Cathy’s movie and was getting more and more offers. If her fame increased, her getting

sloshed in a bar could potentially be dug up by some team that would tarnish her image.

But to her surprise, Patty hightailed it over immediately. Seemed like Patty actually gave a crap about Allison.

Emma shook her head, unable to figure out why. She stopped thinking about it and just worried about Allison.

Patty drove Allison to Blue Mountain Estate and got her settled in. Then she rang up Lucian’s assistant, Shawn.

“Shawn, it’s Patty.” Patty glanced at Allison sprawled on the couch and said, “Allison’s wasted and she seems kinda

down.”

After hanging up, Patty stayed with Allison. Even though Allison was drunk, her thoughts were still racing. In her

drunken stupor, she saw Patty and murmured, “Patty…”

Patty sat down next to Allison. “Yeah, you feeling okay?”

“Patty, what if you really despise someone who’s been nasty to you since childhood, but then you find out that this

person…” Allison didn’t know what to say, or who to say it to. She wanted to call Daisy but felt this whole situation

was too absurd.

She despised Leah and Penelope who had bullied her since childhood, they even got their kicks from insulting her.

Before, she was forced to have an abortion because of Leah. How could this woman possibly be her biological

Allison closed her eyes tightly. “Patty, I’m having a hard time breathing.”

Patty became alarmed, and she quickly supported Allison. “I’m gonna call the ambulance now.”

Allison shook her head to say it wasn’t necessary. Despite the smell of alcohol on her, she was surprisingly lucid.

She was reminiscing about her years living with the Flanagan family. When she was a kid, she helped her mom

wash vegetables, but Penelope ran over and accused her of ripping her doll. Allison denied it, then Grace scolded

her for being unreasonable, apologized to Penelope, and promised to replace the doll.

When Leah’s pearl bracelet went missing, she was accused of stealing it.
