Chapter 330

Allison shook her head, “Mom, where did you get all this info? So you don’t just go out to buy groceries,

you’ve been snooping around, setting me up on blind dates. Mom, if I was still in school, that would

mean I haven’t even graduated yet, why are you so eager to get me hitched? Isn’t it nice to have me by

your side?” Allison said.

“I just want to see you settled down.” Grace said.

Allison knew that Grace was worried about her own health, wanting to find someone for her daughter to

lean on. Her nose stung and she felt a lump in her throat.

“Allie, what does your friend do? He’s so connected, even knows the CEO of Genesis Industries. Grace

said.

“I’m not sure, he’s a classmate from university Allison said.

“Alle, he’s quite impressive, but not for you. Can we really match up with someone from such a well-off

family?” Grace said, “We’re better suited for an ordinary, simple lifestyle.”

Cars passed by on the streets, the afternoon sun was gentle, and the afterglow of the setting sun was

soft. Allison looked up at the sky and murmured.

“Mhm.”

When the bus came, Allison saw Grace off. Watching the bus merge into the traffic, she took her bag,

checked the time on her phone, and headed towards the subway station about a ten-minute walk away.

After a few steps, a car horn sounded from behind. Allison turned around and saw a diamond-blue

sports car parked behind her. The window rolled down, and Jason’s handsome face appeared, “Hop in,

I’ll give you a ride”

Allison didn’t refuse, after all, who wouldn’t want a free chauffeur. She got into the car and they joined

the traffic. Her gaze was fixed on the view outside, the window as the car drove onto Liberty Bridge

She rolled down the window slightly and a cool breeze brushed her face. She reached up to tidy her

wind-blown hair.

Jason glanced at the rearview mirror and cleared his throat, “I heard you moved into Blue Mountain

Estate, how is it?

“It’s nice.” Allison said.

“Well then, I could come over sometime. Jason said.

Allison wasn’t one to beat around the bush, You’re always welcome.”

Jason was secretly pleased, “Hold on, I’m about to speed up.”

They arrived at the Red Jack Club around 6:30 in the evening. Allison got out of the car, her hand

gripping the door tightly. Thanks for today.”

“It’s nothing. I was just passing by.” Jason looked at Allison, standing in the evening breeze. The sky

was growing dark, but she seemed to glow more brightly. Her delicate skin and the soft smile in her

eyes had Jason’s heart racing. “He’s not good enough for you, Allison. You deserve the best.”

Allison’s eyelashes fluttered, “Jason, stop joking around.”

“Allison, you know I never joke about you” Jason said.

Allison closed the car door, waved, and turned to walk up the steps.

Jason didn’t drive away until he saw her enter the Red Jack Club. Instead, he drove to the club’s

underground parking lot, then went upstairs and reserved a private room.

After changing her clothes, Allison and Ashley were assigned to the second floor.

Ashley complained in a low voice, “That Serena has some sort of hold over Samuel. He’s totally

smitten. She’s always hanging around Mr. Samuel, and got us sent to the second floor. Apparently, the

customers there spend less and are more demanding. Some don’t even respectus.

Allison warned her, “Keep your voice down, or Serena will hear you.”
